Just how long had JG been gone? Seems like I heard he was helping his mother get established in an assisted living community (or something like that). I wonder why people thought someone was using the house. Did they see something? Lights? Trash? People?:waitasec:

Answering my own question. KT may have stayed there on a regular basis, at least during the monthly board meetings. Also, board members have to attend other activities in addition to formal meetings. Perhaps the neighbors didn't know she stayed there, causing them to speculate that someone was squatting at the house.

Did anyone else notice this.......
In the search warrant for the Dodge Durango......Conclusion......it says "it is believed evidence of the crime may exist in this vehicle"

Of course ruben, D was most certainly a suspect early on (as she should have been).

Squatters don't usually drive a Lexus ... I don't think KT would have been mistaken for a squatter.

Does this seem strange......the HT manager stated the car was running....

A store manager told WRAL News that he saw the Durango was unoccupied with the engine running in the parking lot when he arrived for work at 6 a.m. on March 6.

Now that raises a whole bunch of red flags for me.

There is NO WAY she would have left her car running from late afternoon on Friday until whatever time she was able to get it on Saturday ... did she call a locksmith? When?

Can anyone think of a logical explanation for the engine running? My first thought was that she was nearby getting rid of items related to the crime ... wonder if the vehicle was still running when LE got there ...

"Holton, who was present at the time of the search, told police she locked her keys in the SUV and left her car at a Harris Teeter a block from Cartier Drive.

OMG, this is the oddest piece of news I have heard yet.
It is not possible to lock the doors with key in the ignition.
At least every car I know of....Durango?

Sounds more and more like D was drunk that night.

This case gets stranger by the minute.

Ok. 6:00am, HT manager says Durango is in parking lot w/engine running. 911 call, dispatcher told Durango is in driveway at the home. That HT doesn't open til 7:00am
Someone is telling at least one fib.

I would think the HT manager would arrive an hour before opening the doors.
No surprise D would say her Durango was still in front...especially if she had been drinking.

Hmmm...yes, I see what you mean...

I heard early from solid sources D is an alcoholic.
If true, that would explain many 'hinky' things about her actions.

Ruben..is it your understanding she has a drinking problem?

I understand the HT manager would get to work at 6:00am. I'm not doubting him or what he said.
How long could the Durango have been running? Wouldn't it run outta gas if left for a long period of time? Do you think she left it there sometime around the wee hours of the morning 2 or 3ish?

That is my understanding......I also understand that was the main issue that caused problems between K & D.
Of course it is considered rumor.

It was said it was "late afternoon" when she bought dinner.
Sounds more like it was trip 2 to buy beer (2nd HT receipt) after KT went to bed.

Was she followed up the 'trail' after midnight?

I wonder if the guy on the HT video was seen exiting the car that morning?

Was the car locked at all?

Maybe the car was left for someone to pick up and drop back off at HT?

Just thinking of all possibilities. What time would the bar in that shopping center close? D states on 911 she didn't head to bed til 3:00am.

So we know HT closed at 11:00pm and the Durango was in the parking lot w/engine running at 6:00am. The car could keep running for 7 hrs?

There were rumors D was at Glenwood Grill, but is closed at 10PM.
No other bars within short walking distance.
