After a month of nothing in the media about the KT case, something or somebody lead LE to suspect JW just within the last week.

JTF I agree w your 2 statements completely - this one& the one above it. I would guess that night the B&E & Rape & Murder was random. & I would also agree that he is probably the one who broke into the other property that night. but the LE isn't focused on that right now. &would guess he probably had gloves on so did not leave any prints behind especially if he knew his prints were on file & this wasn't his first rodeo. but remember the news they said only thing he left behind at the other Breakin was a footprint?? so they may have that only to tie him to both but not enough evidence for them to charge him on that. but my guess they are more concerned for charging him for the murder & rape than any B&E charges right now. & DNA would be blood, saliva, cigarette butt in garbage, (did he smoke??) something benign that he did not even think of. maybe the baggie corner fell out of his pocket unknowingly but had dna on it.

I can't wait for the SW on his apartment to published ...hopefully Monday, if not sealed.

The breakin on Wayland was reported as occuring when the residents were out of town and happend a few days before the KT murder. They thought someone had been in their basement. They left some shoe prints. This was reported on WRAL. They showed the front of the house on the news. I rode down Wayland and spotted the house. I didn't write the number down, but googled the address and located the photo of it on Googlemap. I posted it and then took it down due to concern over privacy of residents. It is only about a block from JW's address on that street. I can't recall the numbers now, but if you google, the photo of the street view has a birthday party with balloons in front of the house. You can't miss it.

The other break in was the one across the street from the JG house and was on Cartier. The resident, Mr. Andrews, says they threw a brick through his black glass window to get in and took computer and tv. He said a det. was sitting in front of the JG residence when breakin occured. LE got his stuff back from a pawn shop, but never revealed if they had arrested the theft.

The homeowners didn't discover the attempted B&E until the Tues after the crime. It very well could have occurred early l Saturday before KT was attacked,

(I think he was a very immature, irresponsible 30 year old. When most men are at work at noon on Thursday, he is hanging out at Jordan lake).

Well, one or two recent articles say JW was a suspect from early one. Maybe they suspected him because of his prior convictions but just didn't have evidence until some DNA results came back. If he's the killer/rapist some DNA had to be in that house.

On Saturday afternoon, Raleigh police held a news conference to address the arrest. They say Williford has been uncooperative throughout their investigation, and that he developed as a suspect only a few days ago.

They also say Williford is their first and only suspect in a crime they are now almost certain was random. They say old-fashioned detective work and some DNA evidence helped them in the case, and say Williford is likely not connected to a break-in near where Taft was murdered.

How on earth could all this activity take place in one small house and not be heard, unless he stuffed something in her mouth so she couldn't speak? It is beyond me how this happened so quietly. If he had just gone in and robbed the place while they were asleep, I might understand he would be very quiet. Remember also, were there lights left on in the house that night to see how to get to bathroom, etc.??? If this house was completely dark, then how did he get around, unless he had been there before or used a flashlight. So many questions, and no answers yet. Will be so glad to know the truth!

How on earth could all this activity take place in one small house and not be heard, unless he stuffed something in her mouth so she couldn't speak? It is beyond me how this happened so quietly. If he had just gone in and robbed the place while they were asleep, I might understand he would be very quiet. Remember also, were there lights left on in the house that night to see how to get to bathroom, etc.??? If this house was completely dark, then how did he get around, unless he had been there before or used a flashlight. So many questions, and no answers yet. Will be so glad to know the truth!

If the MO of this type of rapist is on par, he whacked her over the head and into complete submission before he performed the devious sex act.
All of this could have been done with little or no noise.

I bet he used the bedside lamp, as it likely would be the closest 'weapon' to KT if he in fact reacted impulsively, 'in the moment'.
