OT: does anyone know if it's possible to record the trial on a laptop from the WRAL feed if the laptop has a DVD read/write drive? I haven't been able to figure out how.

WRAL posts the trial video segments on their website each day and it's available anytime.

As for the recording part of your question, I'm not sure if a laptop DVD drive is able to do on-demand writing of a video file as the video is being streamed. Guess it would depend on the drive capability. DVR recorders can do it off a live signal, but don't know about the kind in laptops.

I've been trying to keep my WRAL feed on today. It's a full time job! Don't get me started. LOL

Can someone tell me the point of the State's rebuttal testimony?

OMG how funny! I am currently on the market for a sports bra. I play a full contact sport and the boobage had a not-so-minor scrape last week. OUCHIE. I am taking recommendations :rocker:

I'm an old lady, so I just wear mine under my T-shirts, tops, etc. In the summer time, it's so much more comfortable to not have an underwire. I like the ones sold on HSN. They are really supportive and double thickness.

I believe they are attempting to keep this doctor from stating what JW's former girlfriend told her about him. JMO

She is an excellent witness IMO.

When she said he stonewalled her and declined to participate in their interview, and his parents refused to meet with her, I lost any compassion I had for he and his family.

It would appear he made good use of the books his family brought him to read. :(

Oh, she's good. She makes an excellent witness, and puts everything in easy terms for the jury to understand. Love the way she explains away all those previous therapist' diagnosis.

I like this witness.
What is her name, title? Dr.?

Thank you!
My nap lasted longer than I anticipated so I missed her very earliest testimony. I like her a lot.

Oh my gosh, his parents were still enabling through his reading materials. I can't believe how stupid that was that they brought him violent books.

JW's parents brought him books containing very violent stories. These were sealed books (by the manufacturer) which means perhaps they didn't realize it. But once again...talk about denial! What does this say about his family as enablers? You'd think his mother or father would look at the stories he requested. And they refused to participate in discussions with this doctor.

I can only conclude that JW's parents are extreme enablers and specialize in head-in-sand syndrome and, to some extent, became part of the perfect storm that allowed JW to fully bloom into his most deviant and monstrous self. And they continue that behavior to this day.

I shift some blame to them...not much...but some, yes. In their desire to protect him and coddle him and excuse his behaviors, they unleashed him onto society.

Does anyone have an idea as to what 'book series' this might be? I'm just curious. I love to read, but I don't like sadistic type books. I enjoy a lot of Stephen King, but not for the gruesome nature, simply enjoy his story lines.

Was that disability objection overruled or sustained?
