WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. —

The body turned out to be someone else:

Winston-Salem Police have identified a body found in the area of Peters Creek Parkway and Academy Street on Tuesday. Officers say 30-year-old Devin Ryan Moncus' body was found around 10 a.m. after detectives noticed a foul odor in the area.

Sadly, Brian Haynes’ story — nobody calls him Larry — is one that’s all too familiar. He started showing signs of mental illness in his late 20s, and he began drinking heavily to dull the symptoms. His symptoms were diagnosed as manic depression and schizophrenia, his sister said. A downward spiral started around 2008 that landed him a seat on a merry-go-round shuttling among the hospital, jail and the street...

Throughout the ups and downs, though, Haynes always stayed in contact with his sister and uncle. That contact was a precious lifeline and something he took very seriously. “Brian called me every other day,” Taylor said. “He’s big on the phone contact. He kept that cell phone close and if it broke I had to get it fixed. He was almost annoying about checking on when it would be done.”

I was wondering who this MP is from Winston-Salem connected to Pfafftown in the news today. Looking for news for Brian, I found an update that makes me believe Brian has been found.

So this article below is offtopic and still unknown who the MP is.

I found an interesting potential match for Haynes to an unidentified male - this caucasian male was found in a field along the 2300 block of Winterhaven Lane and Hillcrest Center Drive near the Stratford Road area - which is approximately 9 miles from Forsyth Medical Center. Height for the UID is estimated at 5' 5"-6' 1" while Haynes height is listed at 5' 8" - 5' 9". Age matches too, UID age is listed at estimated 35-59, while Haynes is listed at 39 years old.

Haynes was last seen walking away from Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on June 9, 2014. He has never been heard from again.

Although he took his medication inconsistently and had been homeless and in jail as the result of his mental illness, it's uncharacteristic of him to leave without warning; he normally kept in touch with his family on a weekly basis. Few details are available in his case.

<<Haynes would quickly grow to one of the top skaters there, eventually joining a speed skating team and making it to nationals.

"Once he quits skating,I think that was in his later teenage years," said Taylor. "That's (when) more of the run-around with friends and go to the parties. "

Haynes later then became a drug and alcohol addiction.>>
