These arguments are just laughable.

I especially love when people claim, "the guy was too smart to do that!" Heard that a lot during the Cooper case--as if prison only has stupid people in it and as if there's some kind of IQ test that proves non-participation in a murder.

And why could there be bleach stains in the apt? Loss of bodily fluids during death. Ask the killers what they needed to hide--they did it!

Acid may have been used but not proof it was used on her head -- as if where it was used somehow matters.

I like this defense attorney (the white haired gentleman's) demeanor. He seems very earnest. I bet he was terrific on the debate team in College. But I have to disagree with this gentleman. IMO the State has outlined a very coherent series of events that ties GH to the murder and dismemberment of Laura Ackerson.

I like this attny too - and he has great taste in ties.

Veracity, I agree with everything you said. KB knew exactly what was up after they had that little "dead person" discussion out on the swing set. She knew what they were going out on the boat for. (not to mention they were leaving as the sun was going down...WTH?).

I would not even be surprised if AH told her even before she got there (on the phone), during the time in between them killing her and getting to TX.

Not to mention they drove practically cross-country and then stayed for only 2 1/2 days?? (and yet KB stated emphatically that no, it wasn't odd or out of the blue and AH came to her house often and whenever she wanted, when she hadn't even met GH or seemingly seen her in a long time before that).

Bottom line, KB knew everything that was up even though she pretended not to, and she probably also has details about the actual murder and way it happened that she's not telling.

BBM.

Yes, I did the side head tilt when she stated that "it wasn't unusual for AH to just pop up & come see her." When she had not too long before that (just a question or two, iirc) stated she hadn't seen AH since 2009.

This is the central tenet of the Dellen Millard defenders in the Tim Bosma murder case. I think they confuse "wealthy" with "smart" in that case.

Is AH ok with her man, her husband, her baby daddy, pinning this on her?

I would love to know the answer to this question.

  • #886
Yeah. If they're getting along fine in May, WHY DID THEY KILL HER?

Hmmmm, Mr. Defense Atty. Riddle me that.

Me 3 on that one....made me go "HUH??"

OMG! I thought the same thing. Snazzy dresser with that tie. He gets two thumbs up from me. :floorlaugh: The only thing lacking... some natty cuff links.

Was this guy in the same trial we've been watching? It wasn't a bitter custody battle????? SO his client was lying to ALL THOSE people he told he was going through a HORRIBLE custody battle??? They were getting along and all hunky dory? Seems AH was more cordial to LA than GH was. Ugh. I hate this. I'm sick to my stomach. :banghead:

Uhh..it was more than how to get her out of the apartment. They bought acid too. It was about Laura NEVER being found or identifiable.

  • #891
God I hope those jurors aren't that stupid. I truly will lose the little bit of faith I have left in the justice system if they don't bring back 1st degree. This is going to give me an ulcer. That was the most ludicrous closing argument ever.

When he said "why did they go to Amanda's family and not Grant's"... is the jury dumb enough not to put together that her family is in TEXAS and his is basically right up the road??? I am literally in crazytown. :scared:

BBM....ITA.

They got her out of the apartment in coolers. Heavens to betsy. How dumb does this guy think these jurors are? I was over here yelling at my monitor for him making such a dumb statement.

And maybe, just maybe, he decided to "go along" with Amanda and take the body to her sister's b/c he was TOO DUMB to think of other ways to dispose of the body.

Just to play the devil's advocate, the stab wound mucks things up a little. IF, IF, IF it was Amanda who killed her/stabbed her, it would make sense that Grant could not interfere in enough time, but if COD is strangling, Grant could have easily pulled Amanda off of Laura.

On the other hand, I would have expected to see Amanda out purchasing a few more things like the coolers, etc. Grant knew how to take care of kids. It would not have looked even as remotely suspicious (or as easily traced) if they split up the purchases to conceal the crime.

What kills me is that anyone could think that planning and executing the dismemberment of another person, using acid, driving cross country with her children in tow, and dumping her in a creek with thoughts of feed her to hogs, alligators and sharks.. is ANY BETTER THAN THE ACTUAL MURDER!!!!!! OMG. Murder is horrible, but what they did to her is so much worse than murder.

I wish the jury could get the case today, they should be able to wrap it up in an hour...everyone goes home, case closed.

I was just gonna say the same thing. Give them the jury instructions and let them deliberate over the weekend if they want to.

I do think deliberation will be awhile.

That's what I'm thinking. They could wrap this up quick, I hope. :please::jail:

I may change my mind during AH's trial, but right now I think GH was AH's little errand boy. Go get this....go get that....we need more ice, etc.
