NC - Laura Ackerson, 27, Kinston, 13 July 2011 #9

Ummhmm, it looks like WITN cut off a portion of the comment.

From the WRAL comment NCEast linked above:

I think they are just covering their a$$ by that statement. I don't think they would want to admit to anything hinky happening in their jail. :jail:

Why would these people resign or be let go if something wasn't going on that was illegal or against the law. all jmo

Putting this here as it might make someones day as it made mine, plus why not keep both of these demons info here so we can keep up.
Mods can move if need be.

So, Granti baby has been a bad boy recently, he just cant seem to behave anywhere, seems as though he had a bad hair ? day on March 6th.
Maybe he likes to spend time in seg so he can sing to himself or maybe till the cows come home.
The first link is the infractions (5 so far) then I put a link to what the offenses may be.
Keep it up Grant, they'll play your silly a$$ games.

OMG! He has ESCAPE on his list of infractions! What a dumb cluck.

I truly think he likes solitary/seg because it gets him out of having to perform work.. He's lazy.

Yep, so the things the jailmate witness said were true! The jurors who were thinking she was innocent can let go of that thought. Using others via relationships to get what she wants...that's AH. Wonder what favors she received. No, I don't. She doesn't deserve another thought. :seeya:

HiYa, Boods -- :seeya: -- you took the words right outta my mouth -- Barakat was right all along!! Many of us agreed that she seemed forthright & honest & had no axe to grind. She was subpoenaed, and she testified & she told the truth.

All I can do is grin!

Yes, Jewels -- There are labor laws, etc., that have to do with sudden firing with cause. Companies employing a certain no. of people can't just up & fire someone without cause, and to be let go on the spot (it sounds to me like it was anyway), takes a pretty big deal & proof.

Amanda is still prison poison, folks. Leave her alone... bad, bad news she is.

Sheriff Donnie Harrison said Wednesday that six detention officers at the Wake County Detention Center either have been fired or have resigned this month for inappropriate relationships with inmates. The behavior came to light as part of an internal investigation into a relationship involving an officer and Amanda Hayes, while Hayes was awaiting trial for her role in a high-profile murder case.

Yes, indeed he his. They'll catch on & send him to the bathrooms or showers to clean & mop up one day -- and you can get a violation for not doing a good job on a work assignment. There are a lot of prison rules, as we all know, and GH is just getting warmed up. Prison doesn't stop bad folks from being bad, it just makes them sneakier. Or not.

And escape -- I saw that the other day & my jaw dropped -- The idiot.

Lazy idiot.

It didn't take Amanda long to throw Grant over for a...woman jailer. :floorlaugh:

No doubt, geevee, that she was better looking, and prolly taller, too.

I swear I don't remember seeing "ESCAPE" on his list of infractions when I looked earlier! I remember the Class B & C offense b/c I used the other link to look up what they could possibly be.

Was I that much in a fog that I don't remember reading "ESCAPE"?

I did an internship at Will County Jail in Joliet Illinois...

They call it...Gay For the Stay.

Inmates who previously manipulated men, begin to almost instantly develop relationships of a romantic nature with inmates ..or a wayward guard! Eek.
Addicted to love and all that.

Well we all knew Amanda had so many marriages it was hard to keep track of. I guess one never knows how desperate a woman can while incarcerated. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

This goes to show she should never have those baby's back, by how manipulative she is. I bet Mrs Grant Hayes III will make sure of that. all jmo

Well, now, how can Mr. Sheriff know what went on - or didn't - since there was "no reason" to listen to the convos? That statement is so curious to me!

 Bout time! :woot:
Hope she gets the max on this one (or will it run concurrent? hope not!)
Want her to get WAY more time than she did in NC.

I would hope that she would do the time in TX after her time is up here... will be interesting to see how it plays out. I hope they rack up as many charges as possible...

Gotta love Texas for this! Woo hoo! And do they have another law about desecration of a corpse they could charge her with?

  • #377
"Amanda Hayes, 42 – who is serving up to 16 years in prison for the July 13, 2011, death of Laura Ackerson – could face up to an additional 20 years in prison if she is convicted of charge of illegal disposal of a body."

I see no mention of the toxic chemicals in the story.
I though she was going to be charged for that also?

I read that Texas aren't pursuing charges for Grant as he is already serving LWOP, whereas Amanda is only serving up to 16 years.
Someone, somewhere thinks she got off lightly (I agree), so they are going to try and add to her sentence with these additional charges.

Great news!! How would this work though? Would she finish her sentence in NC & then go to Texas, or could they just do an add on? I don't want her to ever get out. I feel she played a way bigger part in Laura's death and she wasn't sorry or remorseful at all, only that she got caught and couldn't lie her way out of it.
Thank You TEXAS!
