An AMBER Alert has been issued for a boy abducted in North Carolina.

High Point Police are searching for one-year-old Legend Masir Goodwine.

Police believe he was inside a gold 2000 Acura TL that was stolen on South Main Street Sunday night, according to the High Point Police Facebook page. The car has NC license plate FES-4626.

Goodwine is about 2 feet tall, weighing 20 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Goodwine was last seen wearing an orange tank top and had a Ninja Turtle blanket with him, according to the Amber Alert website.

Police believe there is one suspect. He is an unknown man with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and a grey hat.

Officials said the abductor is unknown, is described as a black male, possibly wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, and a grey hat. They were last seen traveling Southbound from 1100 South Main Street, High Point city, North Carolina in a Gold Acura TL four door sedan.

The vehicle may have front end damage on both sides where license plate is. North Carolina registration FES4626.

At about 10:30 p.m. Sunday, a mother left her child in an unlocked vehicle, still running, while she went into a business at 1100 S. Main St.

An unknown man got into the car and drove away with the child inside.

Police have reviewed security video and described the suspect as a 6-foot white man between the ages of 20 and 30, weighing about 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was seen wearing a short-sleeved light blue shirt, blue jeans, dark shoes and a trucker-style hat with white mesh in the back.

Legend Masir Goodwine was abducted early Monday morning. The High Point Police Department is requesting the help of everyone in searching for the missing child and vehicle he was taken in.

According to the High Point P-D's Facebook page, "After locating new surveillance footage [the] suspect is better described as: White Male 20-30yrs old approx 6 feet tall and 165lbs with dark brown hair. Last seen wearing a hat (white mesh in back, dark in front) light blue short sleeve t-shirt and blue jeans with dark shoes."

Goodwine and the suspect were located in Davidson County, according to police. High Point police are enroute to their location.

Goodwine is safe and in law enforcement custody, police said.

The suspect has not been named at this time.

Glad he has been found safe!
My fear was that once the man who stole the vehicle realized there was a child in it, that he would abandon the car but not leave it running with a/c or keep windows down or doors open for ventilation for the little boy and that we'd wind up with a baby that wasn't harmed by the suspect directly but died in the car from the heat So glad this wasn't the case!
