That's a nice place and very large for just the 4 of them. Did they have the whole house or just a floor?

I think she was a great mom and she went on the trip just so they could have a great experience (and she could be with them while they enjoy it. I think her love for her kids and wanting them to have fun overrode her fears.

In my experience with renting beach houses/cottages, you rent the whole house. In Texas, that one would have rented at high season for about 1200.00 a week. NS earned a decent salary in his profession, I'm sure (I'm in the medical field too). It wouldn't have been too hard for him to save and pay for it.

The home is rented out as one unit. It isn't divided up by floors.

So are there any theories about Saturday night?

I think he might have hung around Richmond on Saturday, perhaps trying to find alternate travel for the daughter, and drove through the night to get back to Ohio Saturday night/Sunday morning.

This article states that the children claim they did not see Lynn after July 3rd but that there was a siting of her in Salvo on July 4th?

The children said they hadn't seen their mother since July 3, but there was a reported sighting of her July 4 in Salvo, N.C. Police said Summerfield dropped off the children Sunday in Ashland. He hasn't been seen since.

Search suspended while NC authorities review new information from Ohio

http://www.newsnet5.com/dpp/news/lo...pend-search-for-ashland-mom-lynn-jackenheimer

Major Normand Johnson said new information had come from Ohio and they must take time to go through it. Johnson said he was unsure when the search would resume. Weather also played a factor, as it did rain, though out part of the morning.

"I'm staying out here. I don't care. I'm going to keep looking for my baby," said Raymond Johnson, Jackenheimer's stepfather.

Perhaps they received cell phone records and are reviewing them?

At a Super 8

You think he's at a Super 8? Why do you say that? I bet he's tired of running. I bet he wants someone to understand why he did what he said he has done.

The daughter said that he tried to put her on a plane. Why didn't he return the children together? ... or did he drop both children off at the grandfather's place and then the suspect's brother called 911?

the children were dropped off seperately, different relatives (only the 3 year old is Nate's child)....no one knows why Nate has done whatever things he has done....unfortunately he isn't talkin at the moment

Did he commit suicide? Has there been any bank activity?

Also, how can we be sure that he left her in NC? What if she was with him in the car after he dropped off the children? Was there any possibility that she was in the trunk of the car or did he remove luggage from there when he dropped off the children?

suicide - no one knows. he hasn't been seen since dropping off kids
bank - he stopped at bank in ashland & was photographed in car at ATM
in NC - no one is sure where she is.....except Nate...but she was last seen there
with him in car - assuming you mean in the trunk....no one knows....except Nate
remove luggage from trunk - no one was at home where he dropped lil girl off, he left her there alone....dropped boy off at his parents, they arent talkin either & if they have to police nothing released....except brother's 911 call

His parents aren't talking? Hopefully they've given complete statements to police ... no one else needs to know at this time. It may answer the question of whether she could have been in the car.

It's surprising that she hasn't been found yet if she was left under some brush near their rental while ghost crab hunting (per the daughter when she last saw her mother). What kind of wildlife is in the area?
