elmomom ... that's what I was thinking as well; I think Nate knows his "goose is cooked" , so to speak.
If he thinks he can flee the country; well it's harder to do that now with the social media everywhere. Idk why he just didn't walk away from this.

I just drove past the location here in Frisco. We were at the wrong place before. It is right near the main road (maybe 100 yards off) and houses all around. They have the street roped off, cops and rescue teams unit are there. It is lit up like daylight and they are processing the area.

Oh my goodness. That drive must have been incredibly eerie. I get chills just thinking about it.

Just catching up but my goodness those eyes are very distinctive...defintely 3 whites when looking at thr eyes, bottom and sides.

It is eerie. It is 0.7 miles from our campsite. You can see the lights from here.

No matter the outcome, in my mind, I'm thankful Lynn's family is able to be there. I know this wait has to be unbearably painful, however, waiting from Ohio would have to be worse.

If he had preplanned this could he have secured another identity and passport and left the country?

I wonder if he HAS a passport
Would the borders be alerted about his vehicle? Is Canada or Mexico closer? As far as driving...surely airlines have been checked...oh goodness could he have booked a ticket??? When looking for the other bus/plane stuff??

Is anyone else wondering if this body could be that of Nate? I Know it is less likely, but I am a little curious as to why they wouldn't even ID it as a male or female...

Goggle Salt Creek Court on maps. That's where the body was found.

So so sad. Regardless ... someone was killed. I think we all feel this is likely Lynn that they have found. Route 12 through the OBX is a llllooonnnggg stretch of road. 30 miles doesn't surprise me.

Ugh.

It definitely crossed my mind. But, would he drive all the way back to NC to kill himself? I guess anything is possible.

The body was in a bag. I don't think it would be Nate.

I just looked on abc news and it said Ohio mom's body has been found 30 miles from where they were staying. Maybe they identified her, not sure? But I just read it and also where he confessed to his brother. Here's my ? We're they together or not? If not why vacation together.

They had a volatile relation that included domestic abuse and a restraining order that was no longer in effect. They had a child together. My understanding is that he wanted to show her that he had changed, and she wanted to provide a happy childhood for her son. She spoke to a friend around midnight and the friend reported that if he heard what she said, he wouldn't be happy. She was drinking sangria at the time of the call. The daughter (possibly autistic) reported that she last knew that her mother was ghost crab hunting. For all we know, she may have been repeatedly told that by Nate.

I don't think they were together, but he maybe wanted to vacation together and maybe she thought it was good for her son to spend time with his dad. Didn't she try to back out of the trip and her friends all tried to talk her out of it?

Law enforcement is probably waiting for a medical examiner to arrive and don't want to disturb any chance of there being evidence. not to be morose but in the heat and humidity it doesn't take long for a body to become unreconizable.
