I believe the two are the same person?

All these similar names are throwing me off...

Addie Shuford - the close friend/mother figure, the one she had dinner plans with Fri PM, went into the home and found Maggie.

Annie Sifford - boyfriend's mom, may or may not live in complex, commented that Odom had been gawking at Maggie, was present when Maggie was found.

Lori Sifford - lives in complex, saw Odom walking from behind Maggie's apartment at 5:10 Friday evening. Is this the boyfriend's relative also?

Correct any of this if it's wrong.

The info released today states she and another female went in to the apartment because they were friends and CNAs.

In addition, if current records available for MD boyfriend's mother are correct, she lives approx. 2 miles from MD apartment. So I would say that is close enough to meet up and go for walks

So, if Annie, Addie and a Marian were present when she was found, I'm wondering who made the 911 call? It was a while ago, I'm trying to remember if we know it was a male or just sounded like a male. For some reason I thought it was Addie's son...or was that just speculation? I'm so confused.

Addie Sifford is the mother of Marcus Shuford, Maggie's BF. I think the names have got a bit mixed up in the reporting - and Addie's surname is so similar to her son's but not exact. It is indeed confusing.

It was Addie who went walking with Maggie every evening. She was obviously very close to her boyfriend's mother.

This is really driving me crazy.....
Everything I have read (except one article, which pointed out that there have been reports of the two different women's names) has said Addie Shuford. I always thought she was just a very close friend (it's been reported she was like a mother figure to Maggie). I never realized until now that the boyfriend's last name is Shuford and this is his mother. They are listed as two separate people in the info released today. But it also stated that Addie Shuford claimed she needed help because her daughter in law was unconscious. So that would make sense. Mind blown! Still confused though.... Lol

I actually always thought her name was Shuford, not Sifford - but then I read Sifford in something and thought I must have got it wrong.

What I do know is that Addie is definitely Marcus's mother - and Marcus is Maggie's boyfriend.......

It looks like the person who wrote the article, at below link, has confused the Christian and Surnames of these women ie Ms Shuford and Ms Sifford. It started out correctly but then they started calling Lori Sifford Addie Sifford likewise Addie Shuford Addie Sifford. The article really does need to be corrected!. imo

Addie Sifford, the mother of Daniels’ boyfriend, told investigators she called Odom out on frequent occasions for staring at Daniels while she sunbathed. Addie Sifford said her and Daniels would go on walks together in the evening and Odom would “routinely be outside his apartment when they would walk by,” making “both she and the victim uneasy due to Odom’s actions,” the document said.

At 5:10 p.m. June 27, Lori Sifford told investigators a male matching Odom’s description was walking from behind Daniels’ apartment toward the front of the complex. She had never seen the man behind the apartments, the document said.

Sifford walked with her children and thought it was strange the man was not sweating, she said. Weather.com shows the observed high in Newton that day was 87 degrees. The warrant said the estimated walking time between the repair shop, Speed Latino, and the apartment complex is 20 minutes.

In the warrants, Cline writes that the mother of Daniel’s boyfriend, Addie Shuford, shouted for officers to come to her from another apartment in Daniels’ complex where they were answering an unrelated damage to property complaint. Shuford called Daniels her “daughter-in-law” and told officers she wasn’t responding.

Officers entered apartment 21’s unlocked front door to find Daniels lying “face down on her bedroom floor directly in front of the doorway and to the left of her bed. Ms. Daniels was wearing a pair of pink running shorts that were inside out on her body and nothing else,” according to the warrant. “Blood appeared to be pooled near her nose.”

Officers said it looked like Daniels had been dead for several hours. They found several items of clothing near her body. Her closet door was open and “there was a broken full-length mirror on the foot of her bed.” The bathroom door was open as was the cabinet above her toilet. The bedspread and a sheet were rolled up in a ball on the bed.

The warrants unsealed Friday said Daniels was cold to the touch and it appeared she had been dead for several hours. Her bathroom door was open and the light was on.

There was a towel in the bathroom sink and the cabinet above the commode was open, the warrants said.

Near Daniels’ body were several articles of clothing, including a soiled white T shirt to the left and a pair of underpants near her right foot.

The warrants said the closet light was on and that a broken full-length mirror on the foot of her bed had a clear liquid on it.

The bedspread was rolled into a ball and placed in the middle of the bed, the warrants said. A white sheet had been rolled up and was laying on the right side of the bed closest to the window.

LE should have lots of forensics from all that's mentioned ^^. Definitely first degree murder.

That makes me wonder if he was inside the apt when she got home from her Wal-Mart trip. I hate that those sweet friends of hers are the ones that found her. I know it's tough to know the horrible details of the case (for us and them) but those visuals will be hard to unsee. I just can't imagine the horror poor Maggie faced when she realized he was going to kill her. I am glad she fought, I wish she would have been able to get away. RIP Maggie.

Random thoughts on the semen swabs. Since I read that her bf's semen was found (somewhere in the apt, not sure if I read where) is it possible that SO semen was in her mouth (would be most recent) and that her bf was the anal swab? Maybe older? In either case, I hope she bit down. Such details make me want to vomit and blush at the same time.

SO already in the apt. when Maggie returns from WalMart seems to be a theory with some validity or it is, in the least, it's plausible. Wishing that this lovely lady was spared fear, pain and terror but that seems unlikely given the description of the CS.

This part of the quoted post: "her bf's semen was found" has caused me to search for hours and still come up without finding a source for the reference. I went back and read the probable cause .pdf document and noted Section E states: Swabs were collected and analyzed and found the presence of unknown male contributing DNA. The doc does not state that SOs semen was detected. I searched for Maggie's CS lab reports to no avail. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I never suspected the oral and the other swab was sourced to anyone other than the killer SO. IIRC, there was semen on Maggie's back, too.
