I've never seen a name not released. Usually they release suspects name and it's released all over the media and suspect is found through LE or public tips. The suspect obviously already knows he's caught since he's on the run so what's the point of hiding his name?

Agreed. Wonder if the warrant for his arrest is sealed. It would obviously have his name. This investigation has been more hush than I have ever seen and now it is a circus show with a killer slipping thru their fingers.

It is NO surprise the suspect is gone, it was reported in MSM July 30. Twitter did NOT tip the guy off. The search and probable taking of DNA tipped him off and then he was gone. LE can be mad all they want but they should have been watching him.

"He was here Monday this week, 'cause I saw him," McCorkle said.

He has not been seen since and a white van he is known to have driven has also not been seen by anyone for several days.

the secrecy and now the missing suspect is just nuts. is this LE brilliant and scheming or r they going to have egg on their face from a royal screwup?
why would they not release thd name and a pic?

Here is an idea. How about LE release his name and photograph and let the public help find him.

Call this particular instance a 'screw up' all you want, but I'm just stoked they worked this hard to identify her killer and now have the evidence to arrest him. Bigger departments and more seasoned homicide investigators have failed to make more obvious arrests countless times. I'm pleased with the fortitude and determination of this small town force.

They'll get him, and soon.

Gotta see the evidence before I can say they got the right guy. Yes, seems like he's the one, but have seen cases wherewhat comes back from the lab doesn't pan out, and time is wasted.

Because of close proximity to victim apt - could be cross DNA contamination...
Does the place have a common use laundry room?

Glad his name is out there. Once in custody, perhaps LE will start commenting on the COD and other basic details of the crime/investigation.

Officers said in the release they identified the suspect through "physical evidence, interviews and other corroborating evidence."

No that neighbor was cleared.

The person of interest was interviewed, fully cooperated with investigators and police say he is no longer a person of interest.
