BBM. So sad and hard to know how much are their own feelings vs. those imposed on them. I think there is so much more in the documents than what we are seeing, even this is just too much. Praying they are surrounded by adults who only have their best interest at heart.

This link is saying page cannot be found for me. I wonder if they have removed it or is it working for anyone else? Thanks!

I havent been on. Can someone fill me in on what happened to the little boy?

  • #563
So, the punch in the face could have been the same day something happened to Mariah???
. That's what it sounded like to me.

Or they had already left and were unaccounted for. The report of them getting back around 11:30 or 12:00 that night originated from KW (supposedly). But LE was asking for anyone who had seen or had contact with them that day or the day after.

If Mariah's brother was punched in the face resulting in a bloody nose the day before she went missing, they were with EK's relatives. The complacency in this horrific case must run deep..........this makes me ill, just completely sick to my stomach!

Not working for me either. I think they removed the story.

In my experience, the media usually respects a request to not publish information about the abuse of a child. I have not seen any local reporters writing about it, just HLN.

It's pretty disgusting.

Yes the info would come out eventually but not a smart move if one of the parents circulated a copy of the report. Very much frowned on regarding that especially when dependency hearings are currently going on. Once a child is in the system, a parent can not make choices freely for their kids. I am surprised in a legal way this was not emphasized to the players in this case.

Oh I agree. I just don't condemn.

Yes, that’s what Mariah’s father (AW) said in his interview with Nancy Grace earlier. That Mariah’s mother (KW) and Earl Kimfrey we’re trying to say that the eldest boy caused the death of Mariah.

ETA:Sorry, I quoted the wrong post and don’t know how to delete on Tapatalk. :/

Maybe to discredit anything he might disclose about them.

sounds like a civil standby - someone who has been arrested and released on bail gets to go retrieve personal items in the presence of LE.
Updated 7:12 pm ....don’t think this has been posted yet.

Mariah was born to Kristy Kay Hunter and Alex Lee Woods on Nov. 8, 2014, according to Onslow County Register of Deeds. The two were married on May 24, 2008 and divorced June 28, 2017, according to the Register of Deeds. The couple was separated for about two years, according to court documents.

Hunter and Kimrey lived together in the Dawson Cabin Road home Mariah was reported missing from. Neighbors say the couple moved in at the home in August, which the landlord confirmed, but documents say the couple previously resided on nearby High Hill Road.

The crime scene tape was lifted at the Dawson Cabin Creek home Monday night.

At 5:12 p.m., a white Dodge Durango SUV pulled up to the house and a woman got out of the passenger’s side to an awaiting Onslow County Sheriff’s deputy. They walked to the front door of the home and emerged 10 minutes later before the deputy escorted the woman back to the vehicle.

The woman, who deputies identified as Kristy Woods, covered her head and face with a hooded sweatshirt and would not respond to questions from The Daily News.

THIS! Way too many people knew, as often in the case. Now they shed tears, when they should have done something before a child was molested and killed! No matter how much we try to prepare our mind for what we know is going to come out, hearing the words, reading the words just knows the wind out of us. I guess we're subconsciously holding onto hope that the worse fears aren't true.. and then BAM... there it is.

Right now, I have zero sympathy for anyone but those minor boys. Anyone that knew anything and did nothing will have to live with that. But many won't even have guilt. JMO! Sick of it happening!!!

I wonder if it was the sex act that killed her.

  • #573
I agree, but I was referencing the punch in the face to Mariah's brother happening the same day Mariah disappeared. So at least 2 of the 3 children were abused that day. MOO

the warrant states that they have probable cause to believe Mariah is deceased. EK did more than hit her too hard if that's the case.

Thank you. I keep trying to find that article!!

There has been a lot of confusion on the jdnews article. A few days ago they posted an article with statements and names from neighbors about EK breaking windows out of the van, adult temper, mad over cigatrettes, but edited the neighbor statements out minutes later (before it was cached). The link was posted here when it was first available and some commented and quoted it but it was confusing for people who clicked the link after it was edited. The link from Oregonmama is close to what the original said. Not sure if that was what you were referring to but reading your post made me think of it. I'm a little behind today.

It is sad and I thought the same but maybe the hate toward dad is that he was unable to rescue them and they don't understand why.

Or possibly the mother poisoned their minds against their father. Sadly, too many ex’s try to alienate the children from their other parent. Vengeance and spite are hateful when children are used. I’m not saying this is what happened here, it’s just a possibility, a common occurrence.

News 12 link is not working. I wonder if they took the story downl?

This is just so sad. Everyone failed these children.

  • #579
Why would AW give this to news to put out there to the world. Yes we all want information, but not at the expense of those children. Breaks my heart for those two boys that the world has heard all this, they will hear about it at school etc.
Did they actually say they got the CPS report from AW? I didn't hear them say that. It probably was, but wouldn't that report also be submitted to LE, the DA, and the court? Given the outrage over this case, it could have been leaked by someone else.

Ashley Banfield still has images of the quotes from the CPS case.
