Thank you to Istiff, who just liked one of my old posts in this thread. When I clicked on the alert to refresh my memory I was surprised to see how long it’s been since this murder happened, and still with no resolution!

I will go back and listen to those podcasts, they sound interesting. I’m always very wary when a person whose spouse is murdered marries another person whose spouse is conveniently and prematurely dead.

This one should have been easier to solve than most. It’s the staged suicides, accidents, disappearances and apparent overdose or alcohol related murders that are harder to prove. MOO

Just finished the Unforgotten podcast on this case. So many unanswered questions.

Bumping for Matt.

My hometown. don't live there now, but all the family does. It is still unsolved and family won't talk about it. The podcast UNFORGOTTEN: the Unsolved Murder of Matt Stewart takes a deep dive into it all. It is a crazy case, and I hoped it would have been solved by now. There seems to be a lot of cover up or just no real desire to find those responsible.

She is now happily married to another man who lost his wife in a tragic incident.
OK, doubly sus... any more info on this new spouse's dead wife's tragic incident?

Joining in 'cause a friend of mine who used to work with Mathew Ryan told me she was sad his case was not yet solved.

It may seem doubly sus, but actually she died of cancer while she was pregnant with her second child.

Why did the MPD not use scent dogs to trace where there were reports of dogs barking erratticly out of the normal, where there was an available space for passage in between houses to where someone couldve escaped, but this was never addressed. No police even looked for dropped clothing there, or a mask. WHY?? I grew up in this town and this enrages me. If i was the " wife" and didnt have anything to do with it id be on someones ear about all of these things that are so obviously missed.

Also can we please not forget the night of was somehow coincidently the VERY FIRST NIGHT the eldest child ever stayed the night out of the home? If this isnt a huge lack of interest of the MPD, another agengy needs to get involved! Her phone details needed traced as in weeks prior. Also has anyone found out if the child in the bedroom has any memories of the night? Kids have amazing memories?! I dont live there now and honestly i am pretty ashamed but not surprised at the effort that was put in at the time. Theres family that says they dont care about finding the person... well thats great for you guys, but there is a criminal out there so that in itself should concern you! So lets just let all these people get away with their crimes ...right?!!? infuriating. He deserves justice, the community deserves it, his kids deserve it, his sister deserves justice.
