I have been in Florida working a couple cases, Mary Lou Combs and Haleigh Cummings. I will return to NC at the end of March to continue searching for Nancy.

LE is still investigating and following up on leads. There are four people in jail awaiting trial that know where Nancy is. At some point, one of them will talk to reduce charges/sentence.

The boyfriend, Ricky Lam, has been charged with the murder of Amber Schimmelpfenning and Nancy Bunly. He also has a slew of other charges such as the dismemberment and concealment of Amber and the concealment of Nancy. He could tell authorities where Nancy is to escape the death penalty which the prosecutors in both cases are seeking. A Disposition Hearing is scheduled for 3/30/2026 in Nancy's case and 5/11/2026 in Amber's Case.

The Brother, Van Lam, the Sister, Vienchan Lam, and the Nephew, Jonathan Lam, are facing accessories to Nancy's murder after the fact, concealment of Nancy, and a slew of other charges. They could tell authorities where Nancy is to reduce their charges/sentences. Both have a Disposition Hearing is scheduled for 3/16/2026.

During the Disposition Hearing's the defense attorneys may start negotiating for their clients.
