Identified! NC - New Hanover Co., WhteMale 40s, in IC Waterway, Mar'16 - Francis Dellapelle

"Detectives say the body is that of a white male in his 40s and weighing around 180-200 pounds. The man is balding with hair that appears to be greyish brown in color. He also has a beard and a mustache.

According to Lt. Jerry Brewer with the Wilmington Police Department, it's estimated that the body had been in the water between 24 and 36 hours.

He was wearing a grey long-sleeve shirt and black athletic pants with a white stripe down each side of the legs."

Per the article he was found just south of the Figure Eight Island bridge. I have checked daily and there is no more info.

Just an FYI, the wind was blowing hard north that day. He could have washed up the Intercoastal from Wrightsville.

They certainly would have checked him against Don Lyle out of Fuquay Varina, wouldn't they?

They identified him as Francis Dellapelle of Myrtle Beach! He and Don Lyle favor each other.
