Charley Project lists only ten black female children (10 years or younger) missing during or prior to 1983. None of them are from the North Carolina area.

By the way, I have been indexing all of the nearly 8000 Charley Project profiles on an Excel spreadsheet to make them searchable by gender, age, city, state, and date of disappearance. So far, I have only the females missing prior to 1991, so I was able to pull this list.
Christmas Doe story should be in Sundays Ronake Rapids News Herald. I had my phone interview today. Charlotte will be doing a story and we are in the works to get her on NCWANTED. Let's hope we can catch a lead.
I also thinking these two cases could be the same child. This case has been on my mind since I read it. In case 54UFMO, the girl was well nourished...why isn't someone looking for her. She has fingernail polish on, a runaway doesn't take time for that. Her head must have been taken for a purpose. The child was strangled, already dead. Why take her head? Her fingers were left but there were no matches. It almost seems as the killer knew that fingerprints being identified wasn't a problem. I would like to know if anyone has updates on this case
Ok. so I'm sure that everyone has figured out that I'm a novice here and I'm playing catch up. Does anyone have a list of which chidren have been ruled out byDNA? I'm not quite sure my list is up to date.
Thanks!!
What do you think about Sharaun Cole, case No.NCMC857497. If I'm understanding the case files right, I believe that Kelly Staples and Tracy Davenport are probably a little to old to be Christmas Doe. There is Jovanna Crawford although she maybe a little to young to be Christmas Doe and the same of Olisa Williams. What are your thoughts? Do you know if Nikole Betterson or Yohanna Cyr have been looked into?
Has anyone seen any media on the bust unveiling??? Tricia wants to highlight it on the board.....
Telethia R. Good ?

ETA: I have sent an e-mail to Clyde Gibbs.
if I read the information correctly, Telethia was missing two teeth when she was last seen and Christmas Doe had no antemortem tooth loss.
Teeth present deciduous and charting shouldn't be seen as adult, so the numbers are not correct. New information is being generated to represent a child dental record. The upper amalagam is OL and the lower is O.
If Miss Good has any dental restorations and/or DNA profile, it can be compared against our case in NamUs. All the information is presented there so that a comparison can take place. She hasn't been excluded.
This one might be difficult to prove. Telethia was adopted, so they probably won't be able to get DNA on her. If they don't have dental records, they may not be able to verify these two cases.
Porchlight has an article on Telethia's disappearance:

BTW, I received the following reply from Clyde Gibbs to my e-mail that I sent last Friday:
I replied back that as far as I can tell, Telethia is not in NamUs (unless it is a non-public casefile).
I also tried to contact the Baltimore PD number listed on Telethia's DoeNet page. I got the run-around. The woman who answered gave me a different number to call, but when I called that number, they didn't have a clue what I was talking about. I asked for a missing persons or a cold case detective, they said that they don't have any such persons in their office. When I called back the original number, she suggested that I call 911.
:nevermind::sigh:
Earlier today, I called the Baltimore PD on a separate possible match, so if I hear back from them, I'll bring this case up, and maybe they will have a clue.
So NCMEC is working this case. Just waiting for the Baltimore PD to move forward and getting this case into NamUs. But as you stated, doesn't appear to be a high priority for them at this time. But there are the missing person agencies working this case. Hope this helped.
