Man who walked away from Lincolnton rest home still missing after nearly 5 months

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a missing man after they said he walked off the property of a local rest home nearly five months ago and disappeared.

Richard Keith Perdue, 53, walked away from the Boger City Rest Home facility located on Little Valley Trail in Lincolnton around 8:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22.

He was not reported missing until two hours later by the rest home staff. Sheriff’s deputies searched the area but could not locate Perdue.
