Silver Alert issued for Henderson County man possibly suffering from dementia
HENDERSON COUNTY, NC (FOX Carolina) - Henderson County deputies need your help finding an elderly man they say went missing from the VA Hospital in Asheville Wednesday afternoon.
HCSO says a Silver Alert from NCDPS is now active for 72-year-old Robert Steven Godwin, who they say could be suffering from dementia or another cognitive impairment.
Godwin is six feet tall and weighs about 260 pounds. He has long grey hair and blue eyes.
Dispatchers tell FOX Carolina he was last seen at the hospital around 1 p.m. He is in his own car and possibly headed toward Waynesville.
Godwin is driving a dark red Kia Forte EX, a 4-door sedan model with NC license plate CEP1477.
Anyone who knows of Godwin's wherabouts should call Det. Aly at (828) 697-4912.
