Roger Karl Bowman, 50, may be in either New York, N.Y., or Charlotte, said Statesville Police Department Public Information Officer Chan Austin. Local officers are in touch with agencies in those cities in an attempt to locate the man.

He is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
