Local law enforcement agencies are looking for a missing Wake County woman last seen late last week in Nash County.

Sarah Denise Patterson, 51, of Pinewinds Drive in Raleigh, was last known to be on the 4200 block of Biltmore Lane in Spring Hope.

The reporting party, a family member, indicated Patterson hasn't been seen since Thursday. She didn't report to work Saturday or Sunday.

"The reporting party indicated this was out of character for Sarah Denise Patterson," said Nash County Chief Deputy Brandon Medina.

Patterson is described as a black woman, 5-feet, four-inches tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. She has short cut brown hair, brown eyes and is known to wear prescription glasses.

She was last seen operating her burgundy 2010 Honda Accord with North Carolina license plate FBK-8456.

A be-on-the-lookout alert has been sent to surrounding law enforcement agencies, Medina said.

The Nash County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement agencies are following up on leads. Anyone with information on Patterson's whereabouts is asked to call detectives at 252-459-1510 or Twin County Crime Stoppers at 252-977-1111.

Possible routes home look as if they could have hazards, especially if she was driving at night...

NASHVILLE — A Spring Hope man previously convicted of murder in a separate case has been sentenced to life in prison for killing his aunt last year.

Cleavon Royster Williams, 44, recently pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in Nash County Superior Court. He admitted in court to killing 51-year-old Sarah Patterson on May 16.

During pretrial hearings last year, a judge asked Williams whether he would need legal representation.

“I don’t want a lawyer,” Williams said. “What for? I’m guilty.”

April June Smith, 42, pleaded guilty to concealing evidence in a unnatural cause death case. She received two years probation.
