NC - Shaniya Davis, 5, 11/10/09 TRIAL THREAD

  • #601
For some reason I never was worried about MAM being found guilty and getting either life or DP. I still think he will be put away for at the very least the rest of his life.

I think MAM will get the DP and Shaniya's bio mom will get life.

Ima

From your mouth to God's ears.
but....I doubt it

#ShaniyaDavis: Note from jury requests autopsy photos, defense team objects. Judge Ammons overrules.

Of course the defense objects to the autopsy photos...they must be horrifying. That would stoke the fire of my outrage for sure.

  • #605
Sending good thoughts to the jurors.... please make the right decision!

This case is very close to my heart, but I had no idea how nervous I would be waiting for the verdict.

It's gotta be guilty. Right?

My goodness.

Either way, I know the moment I hear the verdict, it will be very emotional.
Praying for tears of joy.
I've got to keep the faith.

The thought of a not guilty verdict makes me nauseous.

Almost 4 years of reading articles, sleuthing involved parties, google searches, prayers, updates, checking jail logs, praying some more, coming here to say hi to other Shaniya supporters, praying more....

It all comes down to this.

I can't imagine how Shaniya's Daddy, her Aunt, and all those who love her feel right now.

I'll be saying extra prayers tonight for those jury members to have clear minds and to know what we all do. MAM is a cold blooded monster who sexually abused and killed a beautiful little girl who was totally innocent and had her whole life ahead if her. He then dumped her lifeless little body among deer caucuses in thick kudzu like trash.

Please Lord, let us see earthly justice.
I know you will make sure he pays later. But, for those here left behind, please allow us some comfort of knowing this monster will never hurt another child.

THIS. all of it. I am a mess. All we can do now is pray.

Yes... the Caylee verdict was horrible. But odds are that she isn't going to commit the same crime again.

This monster?? We would all be terrified there would be another Shaniya.
That we would be right back here discussing him again.

Not to mention what a bad verdict would mean for her egg donors trial.

I don't even want to think about it...
I'm trying to figure out how to be more optimistic about this verdict. :please:

I pray with all of my heart that they give Sweet Shaniya the JUSTICE she deserves. :praying:

That's all I can do.

This is rough.

Jury deliberations begin in Shaniya Davis murder case
The fate of Mario Andrette McNeill, who is accused of raping and killing 5-year-old Shaniya Davis in 2009, is in the hands of a jury following closing arguments Wednesday morning.
If the eight-man, four-woman jury finds him guilty, they would hear evidence before deciding whether to sentence him to life in prison without parole or death.

Mario McNeill jury deliberates; no verdict reached
Jurors in the Mario McNeill capital murder trial deliberated for nearly four hours Wednesday before being sent home for the day.
"You are the 12," Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Jim Ammons told the jurors before releasing them until this morning. "We don't have any alternates. Be careful. Be safe."

Thank you SO MUCH!
I needed that chuckle.

LOL

Anytime my friend. Humor is important. Specially for folks like us who witness true crime daily. That's why my siggy says to not take oneself too seriously. Hugs and coffee to you.

I am encouraged by the jury's request for more time to deliberate before lunch and by their request to see the autopsy photos. They are taking their duty very seriously. I think they will make the right decision. Maybe they just want to take the evening to make sure. JMO, MOO.

Checking in bright and early this morning. I have said prayers for this jury to reach the right verdict for little Shaniya and those who love her. Please let there be justice for this precious child!

Please let there be a DP verdict today!

I was so hoping for a quick verdict in this one. To us it seems so clear. :(
