I take it the judge didn't have the information on the body being located at the time of the hearing? Or, is it that there had not been a positive identification when the hearing was held?

If I am understanding your thought,,on JVM someone just said the "other" charges will not come forth until the positive ID and autopsy is finished.

Sure Coe can be charged again...It's not a double jeopardy thing.

I thought that since he's been officially cleared, that he couldn't be charged using the same evidence backing the state up for that initial charge which was dropped. They'd have to find new evidence and a new way to approach his guilt. Maybe by association? Ugh, I absolutely forget the exact law regarding this.

I'm going for a run. I can't take it anymore. I've already changed my contacts and cleaned them 4 times already. How does somebody sell a child? How? The poor little angel isn't even developed yet. MaM is squealing you can bet on it, he is looking at alot of time...I do not believe he killed Shaniya , but he did dump her poor body there...

The police are looking for a man that was seen with him and I think that will be the man who killed Shaniya....jmo...

If it was just a one time thing for the pedo at the hotel he really had no motive to kill Shaniya. If he bought her for ownership then I can see him getting rid of her for fear of being caught with her. But if MAM is the one that told LE where to find the body then how did he know where she was dumped. I don't buy that he was a delivery person. IMO he was the main man. He is the connection on all ends. Antionette was a willing party but I doubt she had the connections to buyers.

Im disgusted and heartbroken-thats about all I can say about this poor little baby.I prayed and really thought shed be found alive.
I can manage to say Im not surprised about the unprofessional and classless behavior of the Fayetteville LE spokeswoman.
As I said many posts ago I lived in Fayetteville for years and was a victim of a violent crime there and know first hand how unprofessional and inept LE is there......I wish the FBI had been called in sooner! There was a huge scandal in Spring Lake(immediate neighboring town) that saw nearly the entire police force fired and indited and Im shocked the same fate hasnt happened to Fayetteville (moo)as the level of incompetence and corruption is shocking!

No, heard it from the beginning of the case, IIRC. She applied for the lease because her sis got turned down. Someone correct me if I have that wrong.

Please do not limit this talk to strangers. Teach them their bodies are their own and the only people that can see or touch their private parts for any reason are you, doctor as long as you are there etc...

It's usually not the strangers ya have to worry about. It's usually someone you trust. It's uncles, cousins, neighbors, teachers, coaches, trusted family friends etc....

Thank you Linda. My sons are ages 4, 3 and 3. Can you, or anyone else recommend some reading for me on how to explain at this age? I want to handle this the right way.

Ok. I saw the reports about him only being there an hour, but none said whether or not she was with him when he left. I find it odd that they were able to catch video of him coming, but not of him leaving.

I had heard that, but not two year old, I kept hearing baby, not toddler.

I am truly heartbroken, not only for what happened to Shaniya, but that her dad, siblings, aunt - the whole family - has to go through, and that they have to know the details.

Coe knew what was going on - he should be an accessory; mcneil brought that child to her death - first degree. The mother - I hope she hears her daughter's cries by speaker in her cell every day till she's executed. Whoever killed her, I hope he tries to resist arrest.

The police, in my opinion, botched it from the start.

I hope Brad can somehow get help - I would imagine there is still leftover rage from his wife being killed, I truly can't imagine what he feels now.

Charlie, I totally agree with you on the Le botching this case, somewhat..The child was at the hotel Tuesday am, they had the video showing him with the missing child in his arms Wednesday , and they didn't arrest him till Friday night. Two days could have made a difference. whether it did or not remains to be seen.
