A candlelight vigil was held Monday night on Murchison Road in Fayetteville for Shaniya. Among nearly 500 people in attendance was her father.

The above link has one of the searchers speaking on camera who found Shaniya and he stated that she only had a sleep shirt on. I wonder if that means she didn't have any panties on? It made me think that she had on that same shirt as seen in the elevator video of MAM holding her. I wonder if she didn't have any panties on if that may be why she is holding her legs together like she is.

My heart just breaks for her father, and for sweet little Shaniya.

He will probably never get over the guilt from sending her to her "mother". But it's not really his fault, how could he imagine what this monster (it hurts to call her a mother) would do to their baby girl?

At the initial press conference about MAM and the hotel sighting, the spokewoman said they'd received information "this afternoon" that led them to view the video at the hotel and determine it was Shaniya. That press conference was Thursday night, so it was apparently 2 days after MAM was there with Shaniya.

The hotel worker saw pictures of Shaniya on the news and recognized her - so no, it wasn't close. They were already long gone.

I want to pay my respects to this sweet little girl. I was not given the honor to meet, touch or personally know her. But over the last week I have become to feel very close to her. She has touched many hearts during her short life and will continue to do so. I have lost words, sorry.

I read opinions from "locals" regarding the area where the momster lived...they all said it is about the worst area there....a known dive of druggies and crime

the contrast between the dad's home and the trailer is stunning
you can see from her pictures and happy little face that this precious little girl was loved ....how did it all go so wrong?? How did she end up with this worthless excuse of an egg donor??

I also am curious about her dealings with the social workers....wouldn't the felon (hiv positive) Coe living there be a red flag?? Antoinette herself was not even living there legally...her sister's name was on the lease

Such horribly sad news. Been lurking for a while, catching up on "old" cases, but this one has had much of my attention. I can't even let myself imagine the things this poor sweet baby endured during her final hours. :furious:

i hope some inmates get ahold of the mother and rape her ... shove something huge like a baseball bat up her butt .. cuz im sure if that baby was raped that is what it felt like for her .. then i hope they kill her .. yeah i sound mean but im so angry right now about this .. I thought I read over and over again that the police went there the morning she went missing and she was already gone. there is so much CRAP flying around that I need windshield wipers for my glasses.

just like now they have a guy on the news saying he was with the group that found the girl. When earlier I posted a link to a video where the reporter said a team of training K9s and their officers were out helping in the search and everyone else had left but they were still there and the reporter and her camera man went down there and all of a sudden they found the body.
