There is a lot we do not know.
But what still puzzles me completely is that they said that the did not yet ID the body because it was decomposed so much...:waitasec:
How much can it decompose in less then one week?:waitasec:
IMHO in the Anthony case Cindy refused to give a Caylee garment to the search team because they wanted to only find a body totally decomposed with no evidence to tell any tales, and it took months.
In this case one week the body was decomposed enough to throw off Identifying her :waitasec:

Puzzles me too but the rapid decomposition could be due to the fact that she was in a swampy area with that kudzu (sp?) ... not sure if that would speed up the process or not but I think I read somewhere that it would??

Kimberlyd - Don't feel bad. I made the wrong decision every time there was one to be made.
Believed she was already dead at the start (she wasn't)
Believed Coe had taken her (he didn't)
Believed that the creature that gave birth to Shaniya had sent her to her family (&^%#**%)
Believed that mcNeil wasn't a killer (He probably is)
Believed that she would come home safe and sound (%$^&*%#&* again).

So, you are not alone, this case has made me doubt everything.

My opinion on that is if they aunt did in fact live in that home and this was going on in that home...I think she must have known about it.

I really don't understand how Aunt Brenda is still walking freely at this point - that was a single wide mobile with thin walls - GMAFB - was expecting some charges to be slapped on her as well and am disappointed that there hasn't been.

ETA: I think it does speed it up...it decomposes very fast, which puts off more heat, which will speed decomp of everything in the immediate area. I think.

I am going to bet decomp was too bad for her to be ID'ed by family.

I told myself I WOULD NOT be checking in every chance I got today. I told myself I would just wait til tonight and try to catch all the news reports and posts then.

I just can not stay away. This baby has just captured my heart. In 1 week time, my heart was captured and broken. Now I can't wait for the hammer of justice to come down hard.

No injuries that were visible, that is. Don't you know you should never judge a book by it's cover? As a peds nurse, that pic of shaniya at the hotel wouldn't tell me anything - I would need a hands on exam. It would be idiotic to assume that the child had no injuries based on that shot alone and not all injuries need to be physical, they can be emotional as well. We are very well trained to look for the subtleties that most wouldn't begin to see.

Thats what I as saying too. NO 'VISIBLE' injuries. THAT doesnt mean there wasnt ANY. I agree with you on this. MOO.

I agree. I've never posted before I thought we needed a forum because I don't like to both Tricia and the mods. But this case is complex with both the mom's and McNeill's involvement, and if there's another perp, it's going to get even more complex.

If we could start sorting the info into separate threads now it would make it so much easier in coming months and at trial time. Actually I guess there will be multiple trials.

According to that news story, the tip to locating Shaniya did not come from an outside tip, In other words MAM is the killer JMO

Jesus, just send them both out to watch tv in the recreational room - you know, let them have some fun - isolation can be so lonely - they need some interaction with more of the prision population. Let them play, Shaniya can't go play so let them go to the recreation area ...........please, pretty please.

This quote has haunted me all day today, and my stomach turned when I initially read it. I have not been able to follow the entire thread because of work stuff, but I am just sick. I tried to discuss it with my family tonight, but they just look at me as if I am crazy, and then they walk out of the room! :banghead: I know this stuff is hard, but the reaction of my family is part of what is wrong with our society!!! I have tried arguing with them, yelling at them, crying in the study over the keyboard..... Thank GOD for you at WebSleuths! At least, I know there are other people who care and grieve along with me. My family is a wonderful, caring family.....but they just can't comprehend this kind of evil.

I completely understand. My husband won't even discuss it with me, especially in front of our son. If I'm watching Nancy Grace, he rolls his eyes or tells me to stop watching that carp. I tell him it doesn't help to ignore it and more people should be aware. It falls on deaf ears!

We do not know that - for example have there been any other arrests since MAM was arrested?

Inside tips can come from many, many sources.
