No injuries that were visible, that is. Don't you know you should never judge a book by it's cover? As a peds nurse, that pic of shaniya at the hotel wouldn't tell me anything - I would need a hands on exam. It would be idiotic to assume that the child had no injuries based on that shot alone and not all injuries need to be physical, they can be emotional as well. We are very well trained to look for the subtleties that most wouldn't begin to see.

ITA- based on that video, we don't even know if Shaniya could walk. I was appalled when I heard them say she "appeared to be well cared for".

I will agree there. Coe is still an inside source, McNeil's girlfriend would be considered inside. Inside of the investigation, not inside of the jail, neccesarily.

In in southeaster VA and we had a Nor'Easter that lasted for three/almost four days. During those days Shaniya was missing. I know the Outer Banks of NC suffered during the Nor'Easter too but not sure about Sanford.

sorry, I'm a few pages behind.. my daughter lives in Harnett County, about 40 minute drive from where they found Shaniya and yes, the Nor'Easter affected that area.. it was still raining when I was in that area on Friday.

HLN just reported that ME positively identified the body as Shaniya

O/T,,Wayne Corliss, per HLN has been sentenced to just 20 years for traveling to Thailand, to have sex with kids...To the poster earlier,,this must be dejavue (sp)...If I were you I would report the people you know who was involved in going over seas to have sex with kids...This case with Corliss,,,I think,,happened a long time ago and they just found him and now he has been convicted...I only wish he would have to spend the rest of his miserable life in the pen...

Are deer carcasses usually bagged for disposal at the side of the road, or is this a bit uncommon?

When different versions of events come out, I tend to look at the original statements. This is Brad's version which corresponds with Shaniya being withdrawn from her elementary school in October.

"Shaniya's father, Bradley Lockhart, told The Associated Press he raised his daughter for several years but last month decided to let her stay with her mother. He said Davis struggled financially over the years, but she recently obtained a job and her own place, so Lockhart decided to give her a chance to raise their daughter."

I don't see AD having any emotional attachment to the child; i.e., concern about discipline measures taken by the aunt.

Nope,,no emotional attachment for sure,,the disipline issue was just a ruse IMO,,to get the Aunt Cary off her back until she could figure out what do to with the baby...So, so sad

Most people just take deer carcasses out in the woods and bury them. It is quite illegal to just bag it and toss it.
