If those folks that are slamming Brad right now that claimed to have seen the burns that are so quick to judge him did not report the burns, they are just as responsible for Shaniya's victimization that they are trying to portay him as being. There are too many folks trying to get face time in this case so early in this investigation..without thinking about HER! Tell it to the athorities!! NOT THE CAMERAS!!!!!

If this angel was made out of a collision of two unreliable adults then truly that child was a miracle.
I think Auntie is the only reliable, responsible person that Shaniya had known.

I am not sure; info overload. But I would sure like to know what type of car Dustrus McNeill drives. Might be listed in his name or who knows whose name, though? Does anyone know a database to link names to autos in NC?

It looks like they're all right off hwy 87 and the body location is 7.5 miles from his house.

I feel for the aunt. In the end, I think she will turn on her brother. He was obviously the one making the decisions. Mom was a prostitute according to the WRAL videos ... when he met her. His name is not on the birth certificate. Wonder how he knows she was his ......

I have suspected from the first that AD was hooking... and believed all along that the "one night stand" dad kept saying Shaniya resulted from was likely a paid service (and the reason no father's name on bc eg). This just sounds more and more depressing, I mean c'mon these people aren't ALL teenagers, and don't ALL have an axe to grind... and I sure don't put those things past AD's Good-Up mother.

It sure looks like there was already some bad blood between Brad and his ex FIL. I thought I had seen or read somewhere that there were custody issues with the other kids.

Yesterday Shaniya's Sister was saying she never thought AD would ever do something like, she's so sweet, soft spoken, whatever. Today she says Shaniya came home with a burn on the corner of her eye from AD's mother.

I don't know how much to believe from any of them. Did they call DSS when Shaniya was seen with the burns? If they did, why was she left there?

Brad, well, my views are changing on him.

This was my first thought. If other people saw cigarette burns on this precious child and they did not report it to DSS then they also share in the guilt of what Shaniya's final fate was. It is very hard to reconcile in my mind that anyone would have allowed this child to go back into a home where she was abused for one second. I hope these allegations are not true.

I've kept quiet this entire week, but won't anymore. I researched his past with all of this children but never parenting any of them. I felt ill watching the vigil. He passed her around for caretaking and finally talked Antoniette into taking her and never looked back. I'm sorry if this is unfair but I feel such rage.

There are so many things that are just not fitting for me.

It makes no sense to me that AD called LE at 6:50, when McNeill had just checked into the hotel at 6:15. I kept thinking McNeill had left the MH with Shaniya at 5:30, and AD jumped the gun in calling LE so soon.

I had it in my head that AD knew McNeill was at the hotel at that time. I don't know why I thought that. So took that out of the equation.

I'd also been confused by the noise of the blanket being thrown in the trash around 3 or so. I had McNeill and Shaniya in the MH until 5:30. Well that makes no sense either. Why would he (or AD) throw out the blanket around 3, then go back in the MH until 5:30. Senseless. So I took that out the equation too.

Now I've got a story that makes more sense to me. McNeill left, throwing out the blanket on his way out of the MH park, around 3. AD called LE at 6:50 because she didn't know McNeill was at the hotel. Leaving around 3, she thought he was long gone, with Shaniya well on her way to the end customer, or already in the hands of the end customer.

So why did she call LE at 6:50? That bothered me too. Why not put it off? Well, the 7 year old would have been getting up probably around that time. Asking where Shaniya was. AD realizes if she doesn't put on an act for the 7 year old, he's going to go to school and say his sister is missing. So she calls LE to make it look to the 7 year old like a 'normal' sequence of events that would happen if Shaniya, as she told LE, wandered off out of the MH and went missing.

So let's get back to McNeill. What's he doing from approx 3 until he shows up at the hotel at 6:15? I'm going to speculate that at least one customer was encountered during that time.

So why does McNeill go to the hotel? If he's going to hand off Shaniya, he'll do it in a parking lot. A hotel is just not needed for a handoff. What in the world would he need a hotel room for?

All I can come up with is that he decided he wanted to molest Shaniya as well. He sure couldn't take her home to do it. A hotel is the perfect answer. He can have his way with her, and also take a shower to get rid of evidence on himself. He can bathe her too to get rid of his DNA, hairs, etc, on her. Perfect.

He can't keep her at the hotel. He's got drug deals to make, a girlfriend and baby at home, a life to lead. But what does he do with this needy, damaged little girl?

He kills her. Like all good drug dealers he probably carries a gun. He fired a gun at one time into a house, right? Shooting people doesn't bother him. It's quick and easy.

He drives down the road from the hotel, pulls to the side of the road, gets her out, and it's over in minutes. He may have drugged her back at the hotel. Drugging children is very common in these situations.

It's only about 7:45am, and he can get on with his day.

He may have told AD that Shaniya would be going off to another state or another country. He may have told AD that after servicing a few customers, he'd kill Shaniya. Doesn't matter to this scenario.

Please forgive my rambling. Shaniya has gripped my heart, and I just have to know what happened to this beautiful, happy, delightful, innocent, and defenseless little angel. I have so many questions, and I'm trying to come up with a reasonable scenario of what might have happened to her.

I could have swore on Nancy Grace or another news program lastnight they said CPS was sent to that trailor before due to a child being burned or something? I don't know I'm tired and have to get to bed, maybe someone else can recall.

Mario has a lengthy record, including assault with intent to inflict serious bodily harm (several counts), manufacture of controlled substances, selling of controlled substances, eluding police, threats against the government . . .

Dustrus has a long and lengthy rap sheet including larceny, breaking and entering, assault on a woman, several DWIs, etc. He is 56, a short cry from 60.

Samuel has a shorter record and it includes possession of controlled substances. He and Mario both have a conviction for what looks like maintaining a place to manufacture controlled substances but I'm not sure if I'm reading the conviction right: MAINT ANY PLACE CONTR SUB (PRINCIPAL). The charges were for different dates, though.

There are other McNeills listed in the Cumberland County Detention Center Records. One is a female with an extensive criminal history, including possession and distribution of marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and opium.
