O.K. here goes,,even though I might be banned....I hate this father as well as the "s that killed this precious baby...The so-called dad has gotten on Tv and said,,,please everyone,,do something so this doesnt happen again,,,,Give me a break,,,HE SURE DIDN"T DID HE.....He has been a spem donor and not much more since...We have seen the other kids, say he knew what was going on there before he sent that baby into the pits of h3ll.....Shaniya probably only knew love and security when she was with her Aunt C....Did Shania live in the house with BL when he was home??? Don't know yet,,but if she did I would bet it was his fiance' who wanted her to go to the monsters house...From the looks of it with everyone else raising his kids, he was a sperm donor, nothing more in my book,,,,....I know how women and alcohol(in my case) always took precedence sp? as to why I was pulled from pillar to post growing up...This man I hold responsible for this child's demise as well as the ones who killed her,,,period....he knew about the drugs and the overall climate of that house.....I am so mad and so heart broken watching the memorial vids of this sweet little girl.....She surely did NOT have to be tortured to death.....:furious: Now all he can say when his own 17 yr old daughter tells the inner workings of this family,,and how her dad knew about the lifestyle of monster ,,,,,he wants to say it was all speculation,,,I for one don't buy it. I personally hope he does feel guilty.....Why didnt he give that poor child to someone who could make sure she wasn't raped and tortured,,,Why?????

In the beginning I had nothing but sympathy for dad.
Not today!


I realize he didn't kill her. I realize he's suffering...but he alone could have prevented it. If he acted like a DAD, she wouldn't have been sent there. If he respected the child's true "mom", his sister, the woman that loved and nurtured and raised his child, he would have listened to her. The child would be safe with her Aunt today....sitting in her kindergarten class

IIRC- AD is 25.

She's 25 and that was 9 years ago, I don't think I believe the blogger only because after reading her other stuff she says that Brad's wife was killed when "After an afternoon of shopping and getting their hair done they stopped by a friends".........the murders took place at 1am. I think there was a little more to the story than shopping and getting hair done....but I digress.....lol.

Question....how far from the ..gulp...hotel is the dump site ??? I think it's less than 7 miles...right? IMO she was killed somewhere along the way. What jurisdiction would that be?

I don't understand how NO ONE did anything to help this little angel...NO ONE. Everyone's adding their two cents NOW but what about when she needed them the most? I truly believe everyone involved knew this baby should NOT have been where she was but probably never thought this would've been the end result. It was said, if you wanted sex and/or drugs...you could go there. I fault EVERY last one of them...father, aunt, friend, cousin, father-in-law, brother, sister, boyfriend, neighbor, teacher, principal, counselor, social worker..anyone who saw the red flags. We each have a responsibility...it truly takes a village. We need to stop focusing on me and starting thinking about we. I haven't been able to sleep since I saw the picture of our angel in the hotel...how are THEY able to sleep?

Right, this is another example of the conflicting information out there. Aunt Carey says, dropped her off for the weekend, AD then said she wasn't coming back.

Dad says, wanted to give AD chance to be a mom (implication is, for longer than a weekend visit)

Recent news reports from Dad's friends say Dad was making arrangements for Shaniya prior to going out of town. Had alternatives to AD, but chose to send her there (again, implication is, for longer term).

It is becoming relatively clear (as clear as anything is in this case) that Dad and Aunt Carey had some conflicts over decisions about Shaniya, and the communication doesn't seem to be good.

What does that mean, in the context of this case? That's the question.

I guess those of us who have been in very similiar situations as children could answer that question,,but I will say this,,,I don't believe the Dad (BL) will ever own up to the real reason he sent her over there to the depths of hell,,,but I bet his sister knows, and that is what we are seeing in the presser when she doesn't hug him or hold his hand...or show what some are saying sympathy for him.

The amber alert for this child was not put out until 11:30 am on Nov 10th I believe so McNeill would have not been aware of it at the time he was at the motel...unless her disappearence hit the news prior to that time....

I want to know if Shaniya just did not go back to kindergarten or was she withdrawn by an adult? If she was withdrawn by an adult, then Aunt Carey was listed as the guardian at the school so did she withdraw Shaniya? What's up with this? I could have sworn the lady at the school said she was 'taken out of school' on October 11th.

Cumberland County Schools officials said Shaniya was a kindergarten student at Morganton Road Elementary School until mid-October, when she was taken out of the school and wasn't enrolled elsewhere.

We have no knowledge of what the reason was for her being withdrawn from school," Morganton Road Principal Charlotte McLaurin said.

I think that Shaniya was unofficially withdrawn...meaning someone called the school and said she would no longer be attending there, but never came in to fill out the official paperwork...it just fits creature to do that.

I want to know this too! If she was withdrawn someone signed the paperwork to withdraw her! Who, when, and why?

If she just didn't show up I don't think the school would use the word withdraw.. the school needs to barf up some answers.. unless they made a booboo and are cya right now (ie, shaniya simply quit coming to school and they didn't follow up on it??? just a thought)

Especially since BL said last night he didn't know she hadn't been going to school. So ummmm...let me guess...he didn't bother to check on Shaniya since Oct. 9th or 11th...:waitasec:

With all the back and forth of how much BL (and others) are responsible in some way due to their silence or in BL's case letting Shaniya go to AD's, I want to post this link again. I know you guys are probably tired of seeing me post this but if one additional person decides to read it b/c I posted it a third time, then it's worthwhile:

In this book he mentions asking all the questions we feel stupid asking friends' parents sometimes (i.e., who else will be at your house when my child is there? will they be allowed to leave unsupervised? etc, etc).

Read it! Give it as a gift this holiday season! I will try not to post it again...

AD couldn't babysit a pet rock, let alone kids. Look what happened with more than one in her care this time. Nope, not buying it.

When did I say giving birth makes someone a Mom? I'm coming at this from an angle of really trying to delve into what Brad was thinking at the time he permitted Shaniya's visitation.

ETA: Something tells me if we could find out the details of his other children now living with this deceased wife's parents, we might get more answers on what he was thinking.

I believe the answers will be found, if we know why his daughter "C" was "kicked" out of the house....The Dad sure didnt like what she told about him knowing about the drugs going on over in the h3ll hole he sent little Shanyia to live in...Did he??? He said later,,she was just speculating,,I don't think so. C knows what is going on, she just had nothing to hide , I guess, when she was talking to NG.
