Well I believe it would fall in Lee County ( Sanford) as to where she was dumped and of course last seen, but because she was taken from Cumberland County ( Fayetteville ) There in lies the problem...I think..:waitasec:

If you think about it, she was taken from Fayetteville in one county up to Lee County (Sanford). She was alive when she left the hotel, according to police. She was dumped off the highway that the hotel is on, but southbound, heading back toward Fayetteville, but still in Lee County. In fact, closer to Sanford than Fayetteville. I have friends who live across hwy 87 in Carolina Trace Subdivision. On the opposite side of 87 that she was found. Their address is Sanford.

I highly doubt the perp took her back across county lines, killed her, then brought her back to Lee County and dumped her. She was dumped on the southbound side heading out of town after leaving the hotel..

Lee County will most likely have juristiction.

I also would like to know who told authorities that was Shaniya's blanket found in the Trash ? Momster yeah right...I do not think that blanket had anything to do with Shaniya if it did her scent would have been there. I think someone used it to clean up an overflowing carp filled toliet and just threw it away...jmo

She's 25 and that was 9 years ago, I don't think I believe the blogger only because after reading her other stuff she says that Brad's wife was killed when "After an afternoon of shopping and getting their hair done they stopped by a friends".........the murders took place at 1am. I think there was a little more to the story than shopping and getting hair done....but I digress.....lol.

tehcloser, I think you are right on, as usual!

Is Tim Allen going to be on TV tonight?

Something else that's bothering me...In the 911 call, it sure sounds to me like Antoinette starts to say "blanket".

My minor transcription:

Operator: "What was she wearing?"

Antoinette: "She's wearin' just a blue big old blank a blue shirt with designs on the front but her hair is out."

Operator: "Ok."

Now, I ask everyone to listen to it for yourselves and see if you come to the same conclusion...then think about this...
What about if Antoinette accidentally saw the soiled blanket in the middle of the 911 call and it kinda threw her off...maybe that's the reason for the tiny slip up...maybe that's the reason to throw Coe under the bus so it would give more time to get Shaniya away. Maybe there was already a buyer for Shaniya but she was already used & soiled, or maybe became too well-seen b/c of the media latching onto her photo so quick, so the buyer chickened out...which resulted in Shaniya's murder. I'm wondering if right after Antoinette's slip up, she ran across to her neighbor's home & threw that blanket in the trash can herself! Hmmm...

What kind of drugs does everybody think AD was on - meth, cocaine, what? She didn't look to be in too bad a shape to me in the video when she was being read the charges. What kind of drugs would she be on where they would cost high dollars and she would still remain looking fairly healthy albeit sleepy looking?
I'm thinking crack but that's just my guess.....
I'm also wondering about crystal meth too....

But if Shaniya just quit coming to school, wouldn't the school have called Aunt Carey and asked what was wrong as she was the listed guardian?

Man! I wish I had the link to the video where the spokeswoman for the school was shown talking to the reporter!

Something still not adding up here, IMO.

reposting for you

Cumberland County Schools officials said Shaniya was a kindergarten student at Morganton Road Elementary School until mid-October, when she was taken out of the school and wasn't enrolled elsewhere.

We have no knowledge of what the reason was for her being withdrawn from school," Morganton Road Principal Charlotte McLaurin said.

Where was Shaniya then when AD was working at the ALF?

I'm still trying to find anyone who saw Shaniya in the 2 weeks before her death. I want to know what was going on with her during those 2 weeks.

And how did she go from her hair being combed, being a good student in school, laughing and smiling, riding a bike and hitting BL's BMW (still don't know why we all know he has a BMW) to being unkempt, wandering around alone in a drug infested neighborhood, living in a home with feces everwhere, having cigarette burns, having fear and confusion in her eyes...I'm getting angry...let me step away for a few. ARGH!!!

I think that Shaniya was unofficially withdrawn...meaning someone called the school and said she would no longer be attending there, but never came in to fill out the official paperwork...it just fits creature to do that.
Moo

A search of court records turned up no previous criminal charges against Davis, but she lived at a home on Wall Street in July that police raided. Officers found "narcotics manufacturing materials" in the house, but no one was charged, according to an incident report.

Residents said they had seen Shaniya running around the neighborhood unattended, but Davis' family maintains she was a good parent.

"I know she’s a great mom. She’s a great mom. Antoinette really loved her children,” said Davis' uncle, Arthur Cromartie.

I think the mh manager might have the same idea, she has made sure to stress that you can't tell where the male figure on tape came from or went to.

But I thought Lockharts sister was taking care of her, why would Tim Allen be asking to take care of her? Day Care? She was in school at least 1/2 a day.

I'm so afraid we are going to find out there was a falling out between Bradley and Carey regarding caring for Shaniya. jmo

Exactly, first it's taken out, then in the next second it's withdrawn. NEVER officially withdrawn. Maybe the school dropped the ball too.

IMO Carey was duped by Brad into taking Shaniya on what Carey thought was going to be a weekend visit, hence the two days worth of packed clothes. Brad had already had conversations with momster that he was turning Shaniya over to her so that "she could have a chance to be a mother". Carey had no idea that Shaniya was leaving for an extended stay or I'm sure she would have raised hell. I really feel sorry for her.

Very possible - but then why does AD say to Carey, "You'll never see Shaniya again, and its because of the way you disciplined her" (paraphrasing) - why doesn't she just say, Brad said I could keep her for awhile? Wouldn't that lessen the possibility that Carey would take some kind of action?

It is terrible that BL 1st wife and her sister were murdered, BUT wouldn't a
crime like that make him more cautious in life???

Thats my guess too, Lexington. When Carey kept repeating yesterday "Do not turn your back on your kids" and "They depend on you to protect them" I felt like I was hearing echoes of her words to her brother. She has appeared to be holding back as much as she can from directly blaming him, but she clearly expresses how people are wrong to think being a bio mother or father makes one the closest to a child.

Her resentment at having Shaniya taken from her is palpable. :(

When I did the transcription yesterday, I included that little slip at the end. I think the blanket is connected and was the only thing that worried her at the time, that would get her caught.

Dad made mention of her hitting the BMW (with I think a scooter) on TV (can't remember if it was NG or JVM)......I agree with you.. why did he have to mention BMW...

I also agree with you... this case is so overwhelming and sad....

Most everytime I mention my truck, I say my Dodge. Not truck, Dodge.
Why is this particular manner of speaking important? Just curious.
