Shaniya was packed with only two days of clothes because her aunt Carey was fully planning on picking her up from momsters home as a normal visit.....

  • #302
It was also stated in the media that the aunt received a phone call from Antoinette on Sunday indicating that "she would never see Shaniya again" all due to a punishment regarding Shaniya fighting with her cousins" ...

Eventually I will find that link.

BBM. I would have been on the phone with the father as soon as I hung up from her telling me that. I hope they check his phone records.

Is there not a charge like "wreckless endangerment" or "abandonment" if it is
proven he knew the living conditions and not calling/checking on her?

I know I myself am from divorced parents. Never saw my father (aka sperm donor) from age 3 to 13 and that was only because he was running for sheriff and didn't want the news out that he wasn't paying child support.

So, needless to say, I know first hand kids come second to their own selfish needs/convenience; therefore, so I don't have a lot of faith in men.

Shaniya went to visit her mother on Oct. 31. Lockhart said she packed Shaniya enough clothes for two days and expected to pick her up that Sunday.

But on Sunday morning, Lockhart said, Davis called and told her that she'd never see Shaniya again. Lockhart said Davis was angry that she had disciplined Shaniya for getting into a fight with her cousins.

“I was at a loss; I had no idea what to do,” said Lockhart, who had no formal custody of Shaniya and could not demand her return.

Does anyone have links to these statements? I'd really like to read them. Thanks.

I came across this earlier - taken from Nancy Grace - talking about Barbara Moore who owns the mhp

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Moore also says police told her they`re looking at surveillance video of anyone who left the mobile home park around 3:00 that morning.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Barbara has installed four surveillance cameras. Barbara says that after Shaniya was missing, you can see on the surveillance tape the family coming out and actually looking around, as if they`re looking for a child at that point.

I'm not getting that.

Over custody, yes.

"A mother's special bond" and blahblah.... dad have a record of domestic violence. If they had fought in court, I think there's a good chance mom would have gotten Shaniya.

You can be poor, live in very simple conditions, be unemployed etc... but you don't necessarily have to be a bad parent. And vise versa.

I'm talking about before all of this, not now.

BBM. How do you know this? Can you provide a link to support this?

2. When children are away from their parents for a weekend or extended period of time, wouldn't it be common for a parent to call and check on the child, especially if the child was young? I would think with AD's history, dad or aunt would be calling just to check in and see how things were going.

3. It's been mentioned here that BL was paying child support for Shaniya. Could it be possible he was paying the support to AD in return for him having custody of her?

Back to catching up :-)

And sending little Shaniya with only enough clothes for a 2 day stay??? She had to wear the boyfriend's daughter's clothes for
God's sake.

This poor baby was just abandoned with none of her pretty clothes, scooter, nor any other of her toys. Actually, I think the aunt CLS was the one that packed for her). I personally think she was totally DUPED into thinking she was dropping her off for only a weekend visit.

I'm sorry for any offense, but I really feel like the father has some role in this horrific deal.

Can NG not see thru him??? She's usually pretty observant. She seemed to keep showing the clip of him walking up when his son Byron was talking, which I think a lot of us here thought seemed very odd.

Byron said a couple of things that jumped out at me. 1) the name "Mario" just slid off his tongue like he knew him 2) stating that a convicted felon deserves a second chance.

Sorry for going a little O/T and ranting. This whole thing is so emotional and I just have my furbaby to talk to. (which by the way, I left with my mother while out of town for work and still called 3 times a day to check on her, and folks, we are talking about a dog).

One thing Byron said that also struck me as odd. I don't remember verbatim but NG was asking him something along the lines about how he felt about AD just taking Shaniya and handing her over. His reply was something to the effect of "I can't imagine how any mother could just hand her child over to a strang" and it cut to a commercial. It seems pretty obvious to me that AD knew MAM and I can only assume the family knows some of the details about the case. So was this an actual slip on his part or did he just use the term "stranger" as the first description term that came to mind???

Hi Dr...thanks for the info on the monitor vs computer
I still wonder if maybe a harddrive, flashdrive, or ? was taken..

MAM is apparently bright...was a "gifted student"...very chilling
~~~~~~~
as far as the "date" goes...dad said Oct 9...have heard 10th..
one interview with aunt says Oct 31...who knows??
~~~~~~
have not heard that Shaynia was dropped at AD's mothers...
link for that PLEASE??

and if she was dropped there..that totally contradicts BL's initial statement that "she had her own place now"....her mother's house would NOT be her own place

~~~~~~
One more thought....how would a little much loved kid feel when they don't get any phone calls?? I called the "pet hotel" and spoke to my pets...LOL
how could they go 3? weeks without calling her?? just that alone must have made her feel so alone and abandoned
I am sorry...I don't get it
Looking at video again of dad coming up behind Byron in NG interview.
I think it bothered BL not knowing what Byron was saying and the hug meant ok, time to stop interview in a way.
I took it as a control issue.
Heaven forbid dad be expected to check out where he was sending his 5 year old daughter to live!! Amazing.....
Seems is DID matter.
And Die!!!!!:furious::furious::furious:
Hi.
It was posted in an earlier post.
A poster here had gone down there to search records if I'm not mistaken and found out this, amongst other things.
I'm the bonus-ma of to kids. When they're here their bio mom doesn't always call them, just as we don't always call them when they're with her. It's their bio mom... we don't have to call and check that the kids are ok. If we call it's because we miss the kids!
NO...we don't know that...it looks as if it may have been last years
some reports the dad himself says Oct 9th
some say Oct 10th
aunt said Oct 31
I agree. Personally, I think the most important thing right now is making sure all directly involved with Shaniya's abuse and death are locked up. Any negligence charges (if any) can be investigated afterward. I'm not understanding how some people can take the other family members accusations as absolute truth. I'd bet my last penny they have all made stupid mistakes. If they suspected any kind of abuse and didn't report it, they were also negligent.
Afterward? After what? If that is something that LE is looking into, do you think LE or CFS is waiting till afterward to investigate? I'm not familiar with an investigative agency that would wait to investigate a possible crime and allow people involved time to get their stories together and mess with evidence. The media is already asking hard questions and reporting on the dad. Why should we at WS be the only ones expected to not discuss and sleuth the topic of dad? I want the truth, whatever that is, exposed for Shaniya the little girl who ended up dead.
So it must have been at this point the dad decided to just let momster have her because it seems the mom was just getting her on the weekends.
well apparently you "know" the bio-parent
this case seems different....to drop her off and not speak to her on the phone?? just wrong and strange
Do we know for sure if no one called to check on Shaniya ? If there was something on this matter I must have missed it ..........
