Alrighty then... moving along.. I had an entire thread to catch up on and by the time I got thru to the very end multi-quoting as I went, the thread was closed lol

Don't recall most of what I was going to respond, probably just as well lol.. but I'll try recollecting a few thoughts.

A hotel room is probably well-suited for any high-risk, low budget filming production (ie child 🤬🤬🤬🤬) because the background w/in a given chain of hotels is indistinguishable thus much harder to trace. I am giving serious thought to this now--as along w wondering to myself, "Why would MAM have taken Shaniya to a hotel room?" I was also puzzled, if there was a buyer as to "Where would MAM have gone if he did not get a room of his own" ie did he stick around the buyer's room(?) But now I'm wondering if it's possible one may do raping while other records...

I always imagined child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 was done by a single individual tho (self-recorded). I really need to NOT torture myself w these kind of thoughts tho, am going to have to wait til autopsy results and arrests are made for the gruesome particulars. :(

Oh and I do not think AD meant 5:30 pm the previous night... for one thing, I agree in addition to the people coming out of the trailer looking around early that am, Davenport's cameras also likely caught MAM picking up Shaniya in front of the house and presumably AD is also caught on camera. (Which would rule out my earlier thought that AD might not have agreed to letting MAM take Shaniya to another location elsewhere.)

I was taken aback in reviewing many of the posts on Shaniya’s threads. The speculation about dialect is, in my opinion, counterproductive and illogical. While I will not entertain the underlying stereotype and overtones here, I was intrigued by these comments.

Since there appears to be a lack of diversity awareness and repetitive stereotyping of people of color, I find it appropriate to bring to your attention the comments relative to dialect changes when around people of color is demeaning and offensive to me, as an African American woman.
Put another way, the references to how he spoke / speaks in the company of varying audiences, followed by the reluctance to “go there”; insinuates a predilection of how one should act or speak; based on the color of their skin. Furthermore, the dialect that BL displayed during the vigil is a common verbal expression shared among members of African American churches and communities. It is not a definition of an individual and/or reflective of one’s skin color. A Google search on the history of enslaved African’s and the English language dialect association will provide an abundance of material for use as an education tool.

Because I understand the complexities and anxiety associated with this case, I have attempted not to “prejudge” the overtones of these comments, which appear on their face to be filled with hidden meaning. As such, I do not find it necessary to single out individual posters, by linking to the associated posts. (If anyone is in doubt, a quick read of the previous thread (#15) will provide the answers to satisfy your angst).
While sleuthing the facts of any case is not about protecting the feelings of others; we should all be cognizant of the reality of the extremely diverse World Wide Web. Moreover, I am disappointed in the play on linguistics and dialect of anyone, in relationship to skin color; and am appalled to see inclusion of such at Websleuths. My primary reason for joining Websleuths was because of the level of professionalism that I witnessed here; in comparison to many other sites. My hopes are that we, as posters here, continue to elevate our level of professionalism and exercise the abundance of skills among all of us; and leave the racial epithets aside.

p.s. – the speculation about “ethnic hair” and “braids” is a little off base also. I have NEVER done my hair or had my hair done, the night before and it doesn’t take longer to bring it into a beautiful hairdo. I mean, black people are not from another planet…really, we’re not! While hair texture differs among every race, the stereotyping about “ethnic hair” and “braids” and “leaving it out” is ridiculous! In fact, any black hairstylist recommends not pulling it up at into “pigtails” at night; but braiding or wrapping it; so as not to cause breakage or damage. And…leaving hair out means wearing it down; just as she said…no more / no less. There’s nothing to read into that! It certainly doesn’t mean…”I is nasty”! LOL – NOT!

The uneducated guesses, i.e. speculation with no quantification, about racial issues by those who have no experience is frustrating because so many are stated as fact—with some underlying reason for someone’s statement. Not to mention offensive.
Lastly, she was listed as “black” everywhere, because the only choice you have is white, black, Hispanic-not black, Island Pacific or other. I absolutely refuse to list my multi racial child as “other”…because the country in which I live and my father and grandfather went to war for refuses to provide a legal definition of his race. And it wouldn’t matter anyway, because the national code system, automatically codes any “N, C, Colored, Black, or African American” race as black. The 2010 census is the first that will allow a selection other than…select a box and will accurately code race based on what is written. So, legally, Shaniya is black.

I must be missing something here, because I don’t see where Shaniya’s race had anything to do with her disappearance. While I agree with the potential jealousy and/or spite that demon momster might have exhibited, I also believe that would have been the case regardless of the color of dad’s skin.
She is a beautiful girl whose life was cut short due to, what appears to be a litany of circumstances. Does it really matter if she’s black, mixed, biracial, white, Asian, or whatever??? Socio-economic conditions??? Certainly…but that should not be attached to a person’s race.

Excellent post. Even with the occasional insensitive remarks (hopefully only a few), I've thought there has been an open and respectful conversation brought out in this case. I feel people are intrigued with Brad's seemingly color-blind relationships with people. The insensitive comments, I believe, stem from his decisions in regards to his daughter; not race. This is such an emotional case for all of us and I've left at times in tears. But the group loves to be challenged and called "on their stuff." So welcome and nice to meet you!

Bravo my friend bravo!

Did you know that hoarding of animals has been linked to women that have been sexually abused?

My best friend, in the course of her work, went to a home where the toilet was overflowing and the bathtub then was used and filled. I am NOT making this up. I don't know if the Mom was on drugs as this was a few years ago and meth was not in yet. Don't know about crack.

:puke:

At least it makes my place seem clean.

I am boggled by one little fact thing. It's eating me alive.
If they have video footage of the male figure dumping the blanket, then they must have video of someone leaving the park with Shaniya. So if they have footage, how did they ever buy the story about Coe? If the footage is too bad to determine Coe from McNeill, how can they state with such certainty that it was McNeill that picked her up?

When things like this become important to me, it's time for me to go to bed.

Thanks, I know there's a lot more I'm forgetting. How the hell do you get parole for that? :waitasec::banghead::banghead:

Oh and then early release from supervision... :banghead:

It appears you have not read all of the threads pertaining to Shaniya. I guarantee if you read or re-read the threads you will change your mind--based on your comment. (In other words, no disrespect.)

Presumably because they can clearly see McNeill on tape (time stamped w/in the hour) carrying Shaniya in the hotel, along w evidence in MAM's car.

At work I was one of the few in here advocating sentiment to the father. And though I still feel that it is horrible to point the finger at any parent who has to bury their child. I spoke with Hubby (A proud father to a natural born daddy's girl) and as a father pointed out some serious flaws in BL. *Quick background* My Hubby has two older boys from a previous relationship that live in a diff state than us. He talks to them daily, knows everything that is going on with them, drove out there a week after they moved there (not that she is a bad mother...good mother) just tp be sure that he knew where they were, how to get to them should anything happen, and just to check out the area.
With that being said...u can see where his position is. He is protective over all his children (3 boys and finally his lil princess) but EXPECIALLY over our daughter. He felt for the father in the beginning as did all of us, but as the info came out of where she was staying (not the size,and/or the fact that it was a trailer park, a bad area, or the econmic issues) he joined the "how could you leave her there" crowd. Knowing her background...supervised visits should have been the start. Make sure she has her life together before just dropping her off. And in his words and I quote..."There is no way I'm leaving my daughter, mom or no mom, where there is some guy living there and I don't know anything about him"

In addition Dad's own close family and friends are bashing him. Not just strangers.
You just have to wonder if Dad has some skeletons in his closet and AD is aware of them.

The car is a very good possibility.
It just bothers me that we have only seen the one report that he picked her up at the house. That's the type of thing you would expect all the outlets to pick up on.
I don't know who to listen to anymore.

Cigarette burns often leave permanent marks as oppose to a rash. I wonder if the autopsy would reveal them.

Could someone explain to me how your scenarios take place in a small trailer or hotel room? I"m not getting it; when I stay in a hotel I can hear my next door neighbor doing mundane things. Their home has two adults and three children..add Coe and that's six people. Someone would hear and call the police, front desk, come to help. What am I missing here?

I thought i read an article that it was that evening a hotel person was watching the tapes and noticed her and called the police and by the time they got there they were long gone.

The hotel didn't review the tapes until Wednesday evening. So more than 24 hours had passed.

2 different cameras here right? One closer to the mobile home and one at the entrance/exit to the park
I think the entrance/exit camera doesnt work

Not necessarily! Most people want to mind their own business & be anonymous in hotels!

Btw does anyone know the age of MAM's daughter... presumably the child's clothing in his car belonged to his own or another child, too small to belong to Shaniya who was never provided pants or a jacket... :furious:

We can all guess what the straw and dollar bill were for  Hopefully swabbing will show her dna, maybe soiling of seat, her hairs etc proving she was in his car. And I'm just PRAYING those soil samples are consistent, ie place him at the location of where Shaniya was left off Hwy 87. That and presumably LE collected every single pair of his shoes.
