I questioned why they arrested Coe if they had footage of MAM dumping the blanket or leaving the mhp. But then I'm not sure they actually have that video from the mhp. Has that been reported, or is it just speculation? Regardless, they obtained the video from the motel that clearly showed MAM with Shaniyah, and report today stated that MAM admitted he picked her up in front of her home.

LE definitely stated early on they had reviewed SHollow surveillance showing both the figure seen walking back from neighbor's trash can (approx 3 am) as well as occupants of mh coming out and looking around (presumably 5:30 am ish). Don't think the quality at night is probably all that great. But it does prove someone was disposing of the blanket at that hour...

Which is another reason I suspect they were "prepping" Shaniya that night/early am for buyer... a request made in advance as part of agreed upon service?

2 different cameras here right? One closer to the mobile home and one at the entrance/exit to the park
I think the entrance/exit camera doesnt work

No...a camera doesn't work. They are Barbara's pride and joy! Barbara is one unhappy camper with everyone trashing her trailer park. She wants to paint an illusion of Disneyworld and I want to smack her over the head with the police reports happening in her Disneyworld.

I'm thinking the three were out and when MAM drove in MOM got out...went in called 911..to cover her ars and by that time the deal was already done. He was to either sell her or kill her.
Her man was home babysitting ("I thought "god help them when I heard that") and the two went out to buy drugs and that is where the child prostitution came in....the perp confirmed this and that's why the "charge of one count of prostitution."

Thank you, kiki! I knew about the video of folks searching, but wasn't clear about the trash can. (I work long hours, and am usually playing "catch up".) I agree that the "prepping" is a definite possibility. Ugh!!!

Its sad sittin here in NC and knowing that she was alive and it was literally a blip on the news, until she was already most likely gone and Nancy Grace picked it up after momsterspermreceptacle got arrested. we all had such hope, and she was an hour or so away from me and we heard very very little. Dont want to second guess LE, and they were obviously saying they had no reason to think MAM would hurt her, his record doesnt reflect that blaze blaze blaze,to make him look gentle and give him a chance to let her go somewhere safetly, but now we know different, and to sit here LOCAL, and many other locals were/are here too, it makes me mad as hell
rant over

I always though it was very odd, that he was carrying her and she was awake. A happy 5 year old does not want to be carried. That is for babies in their little independent minds. At least that is how I remember when mine were that age. Only sound asleep could you carry them.

I don't think anyone here has seen the certificate. Theory is...this isn't a traditional couple filling out paperwork. If social services was involved, they may have pressed hard to have the father sign for reimbursement of services.

That makes sense. I think I remember (tis late and my mind went to sleep an hour ago) seeing somewhere a relative stating that you could just look at her (Shaniya) and tell BL was her father, so I'm not sure if his paternity was ever in question and he took a paternity test or took her word for it. From what I've read they had a one night stand.

Where were the three before they came home at around 6:00 am? It takes approx 40 minutes to drive from trailer to hotel and they were clocked in the lobby at 7:11.

I'm sorry to carry this over, but it is part of my needing to know why.

It was said last thread that the adults in the trailer lived in filth because they were drug addicts and couldn't afford better. I refuse to accept this as an answer.
Addicts make choices. Most of them bad. (By the way they are users, as well as addicts. Important distinction.) You can always afford better than filth. Water and material to scrub with is not that hard to find. Neither are cheap cleaners. A $1 bottle of bleach goes a long way. So I refuse to believe that it was just the drugs.
I have been addicted....even at my lowest, there was no feces anywhere in my home and all of the facilities worked fine. There is something darker at work here that would allow a person to keep themselves in that level of....whatever you call it.

Once again, I do not mean the trailer itself. I mean the level of filth and space issues of so many people.

You'd think, huh? Have you ever watched Hoarders? These homes are filled with pure filth, feces, etc. Anyway, I find it a fascinating show, and would be interested in seeing inside that trailer.

Remember the other puzzling thing about this case. The dogs didn't pick up any scent of Shaniya around the trailer.

Yup..words came from the aunt. Wouldn't that be something if he wasn't. If he didn't sign the certificate, do you think LE will want to run a paternity test? I think so.

I TOTALLY can understand your frustration. There were no news reports AT ALL on local news outlets here in CA, until the donor and MAM were arrested. The news here reported that Shaniya was missing and her "mother" had been arrested for allegedly "selling her" and that the man last seen with her in a hotel video turned himself into police, but that Shaniya wasn't with him.
What was this...three days after the 911 call when she was first reported missing? I'm sure it couldn't have saved her life but I find it disturbing that I can easily see/read/hear about what John Gosselin had for breakfast but not hear about a missing five year old little girl.

I was on another site when this news broke and everyone was saying how much she looked like Coe.

Well, it wasn't meth or crack. I was smart enough to stay away from them.

I have pretty much come to conclusion that the problem I have understanding this is perspective. My mom was a collector, or hoarder (I think that's the PC term now.) So by comparison, the drug houses that I was in (and I don't hide my past, I've been in plenty) seemed nice in comparison. But, what doesn't seem nicer when you were raised in a house with clothes to the ceiling in every room and 30 non housebroken cats.
To most people, drug houses are nasty, to me, they were an improvement. It's my perspective that's flawed.

Oh, that's so sad. I hope you are OK and have reconciled your past. We all have the back stories, some a tiny sad and some a lot. I feel for you and know somewhat of your pain. My best friend let me in her parents' house once due to its condition and their hoarding. She's a neat freak these days but I think the scars are still there.

Thanks for sharing your stories and opinions.

Not sure if you're up on the latest about the one-night affair. This came from a blogger so only hearsey. AD was Brad's babysitter after his wife died; for quite a long time. They had one night of passion and Shaniya was conceived. He supposedly really cared for her which is reason he wanted her to be a mother. If he seriously cared, he should have gotten a decent place for her and the children a long time ago and away from these creeps.

Good question...I doubt they would run a paternity test unless BL asked for one. That usually happens when a mother dies and has a child that does not have a father listed on the BC and LE is trying to figure out who gets custody. At this stage, I don't think paternity would matter. But it is very interesting that the Aunt would even bring that up.

Here it is: LE says Shaniya was alive leaving the hotel

LE also specifically stated they were unsure of what condition she was in.

Not that I know of and I can't wait to hear the story how the Hotel person decided to watch the tapes.

I only know that after being alerted by hotel, LE had family--presumably AD (and BL had by then flown in) review footage who were able to id Shaniya and MAM.

WOAH....I hadn't heard that one. I noticed the drastic age difference...considering AD is only five years older than his son Byron but I hadn't heard how they met. If true that's seriously disturbing and could explain why Cheyenne and the Grandfather have some bad blood for Dad.

Okay...what is going on with this group. Everyone has been in a relationship with each other and I can't keep track of who's baby is who's. April - MAM, Brenda - April's brother and previously with MAM, Brad - AD, Coe - AD...must be more combinations.

I know these trailing dogs are amazing, tho it was raining... and now I can't help wonder could the reason be because MAM was carrying her everywhere
