I could see going on Oprah if Shaniya was still missing or if the perps were still unknown, but to go on right now seems odd and in bad form, IMO.

I mean her body is not even released from being autopsied... and they haven't even had a funeral yet for Shaniya

You guys are right, the carpet on the confirmed third floor is not cut the same as the carpet in the surveillance photo. Same pattern, different cuts.

Could be a crazy idea, but could LE have torn up the carpet next to the elevator while gathering evidence, leaving the hotel to RE-carpet the area?

The change in dialect could be nothing more than a mild case of being a cocktail personality. Not all people with this disorder are dangerous, but it can make them look suspicious because they take on the demeanor, speech patterns, attitudes and mannerisms of those around them. Most of the time, it's unintentional and not fully controllable.

I do find the change in speech odd, but it sometimes happens when two ethnic groups collide.

BL can speak any old way he wants to. It's just that the change was so drastic, it seemed almost bizarre to me. Maybe it means nothing, who knows, but it makes me think he is not the same person all the time. Leading a double life, or has a dual personality. KWIM? It struck me as very manipulative.

I don't want to knock the poor man, Lord knows he is kicking his own self enough right about now. BUT I am led to believe that there is much more than meets the eye here. Obviously.

He seems to not want AD's drug issues to be discussed, but why? Because he knows it will reflect badly on himself, or perhaps she has something dirty on him that he doesn't want exposed?

There is no baseboard in the shot with people, and baseboard in the empty hall so it is not the same location.... different floor perhaps?

On my screen, I can kind of see the baseboard although it is faint (in the surveillance video)...The pattern in the carpet is def. different. I'm not sure of the location of where she went. There was a poster here who confirmed the location of the hotel (search momtective).

One thing Byron said that also struck me as odd. I don't remember verbatim but NG was asking him something along the lines about how he felt about AD just taking Shaniya and handing her over. His reply was something to the effect of "I can't imagine how any mother could just hand her child over to a strang" and it cut to a commercial. It seems pretty obvious to me that AD knew MAM and I can only assume the family knows some of the details about the case. So was this an actual slip on his part or did he just use the term "stranger" as the first description term that came to mind???

No, because what I heard reported the other night on Prime News by Michele Signona, that it took the police 48 hours to crack the code or something to that effect to get into the video.

This had to be either Monday night or Tuesday night show. All the videos are accessible by clicking on the link in my siggie.

This photo of her, like a lamb to the slaughter, will forever haunt me... what a little angel, I would have gladly given MAM and AD my entire life savings and sold my assets (it's not alot, but surely more than w/e they got for her :furious to raise this baby w my own little girl. My youngest is virtually an "only child" since her sibs are all so much older. She's just 9 mos older than Shaniya was and longs for a sibling. They would've had so much fun, we would have been so happy to share our home and lives w her. The two could easily pass for twins or sisters. It breaks my heart to see this now I can't stop crying again.
