There's nothing we COULD say about him. We know nothing about this baby. And I pray to GOD he never knows who is mother is.

I hope he has a long healthy life. He's got a much better chance now that he is away from AD.

One case was that of Shaniya Davis of North Carolina, who authorities say was traded for drugs by her mom. Hotel surveillance cameras caught a man carrying her into a hotel room. She was raped and later murdered in November of 2009. Mario Andrette McNeill was charged with her brutal murder.

Y'all! I just found this video on youtube. It's a very good re-cap of the case from the beginning. The song playing in the backgroud was (I guess) written for Shaniya.
The song has very strong language so if you are offended by words such as the F word, you may want to mute.
The video has news coverage and shots that I have not seen in almost 2 years but remember like they were yesterday.

All in all, I think all should watch this video.

Yes, let me be selfish enuff to ask Heaven for the safety of all of us Easterners -- those on the sea, in it, studying it or awed by it. I do hope she will gentle-down tonight and not be worthy of big headlines tomorrow or Sunday -- from SC to New England! We're already getting a bit of wind & rain here in Raleigh.

Back on topic - I haven't seen any news about our Little Angel lately, or about those who ratcheted-up the meaning of child-abuse due to what they did to her... Any pre-trial hearings or trial dates for either of them?
And I wonder how they've settled down in the county-jail and made oh, so many friends...

My NYC traveling buddy is going up there from here in Raleigh, NC, on Wednesday, to see a couple of musicals & he's been fretting about the status of Manhattan. So I just called him and left a msg quoting what you posted above. Any further info -- cabs, LaGuardia, subways, & business in general -- would be appreciated.

Mighty glad to hear that you and NYC are doing fine! We in Raleigh are doing well, but some of the towns east of here were pretty well battered, but overall, not bad for a big hurricane. This is just something we have had to get used to -- I guess like y'all up there have to put up with lotsa snow from time to time.
