Well, i struggle with this myself. I think that maybe dads G/f wanted her to go with Mom. Believe it or not, we're in the south and SOME people are funny about mixed race children. The Dad worked out of town, so others took care of her the majority if the time, I assume...stranger things have happened..JMO

Away from the current search site for a brief moment - all the backend checking indicates that the family trail of McNeill has ties in Newark, NJ.

All of this is probably going to be a mute point considering the current search in a specified area in NC.

I keep thinking about the nc where the lady said that MAM had a "little" bit of a criminal past but she didn't seemed too worried about it. If MAM did what we all think, what made him do it? He didn't have a histroy, he had girlfriends. Why this sudden interst in babies? Come on this was a baby. He had a violent past but not this. Who knows why he shot into a home, drugs? Somehow this and that seem miles apart to me. Something seems odd to me, why did he do this?????

Only problem I have with McNeill keeping Shaniya for himself is I beleive AD would have just prostituted her out to him, he didn't have to take the risk of getting caught and charged with kidnapping and (possibly even murder???)

I think she had been prostituting Shaniya out for awhile, and maybe she had become injured that particular night (thinking of the feces on the blanket). Plus, with dad coming back into town, he probably was going to want to visit with Shaniya and they knew she'd tell or he'd notice something was up. So they decided to get rid of her. So mom gave/sold/traded her to MAM for good - and said just get her outta here so dad doesn't find out. MAM does his thing one last time, kills her, and dumps her... :furious:

Well IMO if she were, AD should... for reckless or felony child endangerment at the least, but regardless I've no doubt there will be a slew of more charges to come all the way around...

the body lang expert on NG said the other night the way she had her legs crossed in the hotel pic had her concerned to the fact that their may be sexual abuse. She said one of the signs was the crossing of the legs

I'm not so sure MAM is talking. I think maybe they traced him to the area with cell phone pings or through some other means (leads, witnesses, etc). I wish they'd turn Jack Bauer loose on him. It's at times like these that I think such means of torture to get info are justified. :furious:

For those curious, I know that Catholic Charities and other social service orgs hold seminars and awareness sessions about human trafficking. They are geared for LE, but usually open to the public, they teach you what to look for, who to look for, what to say if you should ever need to call in suspected trafficking.
The courses are usually several months apart, but not very expensive and well worth it.

I am trying not to worry about the ground searches. It could be a good thing.
She could just be out in that wooded area with a few monsters, I mean people, that don't want to move her yet.

Shaniya is a commodity now, like a car or a painting...and what do you do with a stolen car or a stolen painting? You hide it somewhere for a little while, until people stop looking, then you turn your profit. If this is a smaller scale op she could be in "holding" somewhere and I imagine that would be a secluded place.

I wish I could agree...I want her to be safe SO BADLY!!! But to be honest if this was a transfer and does involve a 'ring' type thing....I don't think the type people who would spring for a motel fee would then be hiding in some woods with the child...they would be professionals and if they did want to hide her somewhere it would be in some fancier place than the woods :-( Plus this ground search is between the MH and the motel....surely professionals wouldn't remain that close to the scene(s) of the crime...the only logical thing they could be looking for right now is Shaniya's little body :-( The thought of which is absolutely breaking my heart.
