searching ancestry, I find only one Tyrongella. Black female born in Sept 1978, Tyrongella Nekia Judd in Moore County NC.

Confirmed by birth records, yes. Both Brad and Carey were born in Orange County CA.

Aunt Carey is Bradley Lockhart's aunt thus Shaniya's great aunt.

That makes Carey Shaniya's aunt. I am the aunt of my sister's children and she is the aunt of mine.

When questioned about the reported burns on Shaniya's body, Lockhart-Davis said she was told that Shaniya accidently walked into a cigarette. She said she also was told that Shaniya came too close to a kerosene heater, which fell on her.

Yes, I saw those then. I was confining my search to North Carolina previously. Both records in CA have the same maiden name for the mom.

Bradley's genealogy is posted by a nice relative for us all to gander at. Given that his dad has an uber-unusual name, it's not hard to find at all.

And cemented for me, how extremely culpable BL is in the horror she lived and died from. How this man can claim he thought it would be ok for Shaniya to live in that enviroment / that he had no knowledge of AD's possible drug use is disgusting.

I only wish he could be charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide or Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.

At her arraignment, the judge misspoke Shaniya's name - called her Shaniqua or something like that. Does that mean that AD has not been properly arraigned?
