i have a quick question. was it ever established that bl was paying child support for shaniya, or was that another rumor?

This really means one of two things. Carey is being deceptive for whatever reason, or all the other people that have come out and said they offered alternatives are being deceptive...

i think carey may be being deceptive because she is also protecting herself and way of life. if bl has been supporting her financially this whole time maybe she feels indebted to him. she feels that airing his bad choices woukd be disloyal and ungrateful. maybe bl got tired of supporting his sister in that way and thought it to be more financially in his favor if shaniya lived with ad therefore absolving him of his financial obligation to carey. all imo. remember there are many fathers who believe that paying the bills is all that is required.

His story seems to change with every interview. I wonder why it was so important to the father for the mother to be a mother? Shaniya seemed to be doing just fine without her. I raised four kids by myself from the time my kids were 9,8,7, and 4. Their father lived about 40 minutes away but he rarely came to see them. There is no way I would have tried to force him to be a dad to them because if he had wanted to be a dad he would have made an effort. There is also no way in hell I would have packed them up and taken them to go live with him.

I agree with you! If the mother doesn't have the natural inclination to be a parent to the child, bonding and love isn't something that can be forced. The only thing that comes to my mind in this case is it was convenient to have AD take care of Shaniya. MOO

With the story as of Oprah being that AD called Carey, how does that play in with the unconfirmed theory of Shaniya being sent by BL to live there?
I also believe that it was planned for her not to come back, at least for a while, but Lord only knows when that plan was made.

But if they were in the habit if sending Shaniya to AD every time she asked, BL and AD might have felt comfortable with AD's request being honored, if it were planned by them ahead of time.
I just don't know. My head is swimming.

We have posted numerous quotes from Brad that he was returning Shaniya to live with AD. IMO - Carey knew this - if friends, EX-FIL, children (Byron - even felons deserve a 2nd chance) knew the plan, no way was this a covert plan without Carey's knowledge.

If they're right, then I think he didn't tell Carey because he knew she'd resist. He might have thought it would be much easier on him to let AD take the blame and come up with an excuse not to return her than it would be to convince Carey to take her over there to stay because that's what he wanted.

I wasn't talking about the "not going to see her again" call. I mean the call AD allegedly made asking to take her on the 9th.

The 31st is likely an error, since that is a Saturday and the article says that she packed her enough clothes for 2 days and expected to pick her up on Sunday.
That would make it Friday that she left, which is consistent with the 9th, but not the 31st.

We may never know, but I'm curious when the last time Shaniya went to stay with AD for a weekend ~ or any length of time ~ was before this final visit. And if BL or CLD had enrolled Shaniya in school, wouldn't they have some right to see that she was returned so she could continue? :waitasec: MOO

another thing, when you enroll a child in school there are certain things u need such as birth certificate, immunizations proof of residency. bl would have to be on the birth certificate to enroll her irght? when i fill out the info for my kids at the beginning of the year they ask about custody arrangements. i wonder if there is a form such as this and if shaniya was up to date with her immunizations as both parties have stated that she was with ad her first year of life. wouldnt the school need legal documentation of the current custody agreement?

This is one of the biggest questions, IMO. Who enrolled her and who pulled her out?
