CL speaks/misspeaks on Nancy Grace (contradicts her other statements, imo)

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0911/16/ng.01.html

CHEYENNE LOCKHART: I did know about Antoinette using drugs, but I -- I knew of DSS going to her home, but I never knew that -- somebody told me that she wasn`t supposed to have her, so I didn`t know of that.

Wow; thank you. I never caught that she mentioned DSS going to the home.

Evidently when AD was living on Wall (per wral article above) and there wasn't the issue of occupancy or mgr to worry about, Shaniya was previously allowed to just roam the neighborhood.

Sorry...just got back - making pies.

You saw Ann Summers in the obit?

What I think you saw was Carl and Priscilla Summers - I have seen AD's mother use AKA's for her name....Priscilla, Phyllis, Ann with Summers and Davis. Don't want to start rumors.

Oh apple and pumpkin. Going to start the dressing soon. My family is concerned with me; I'm obsessed with this case.

This DSS involvement is something - no wonder they are bringing in half the state. How was this "she's not supposed to be over there" communicated to everyone? Almost same words Brad said to his friend; Tim Allen.

NBA great Shaquille O'Neal pays for Shaniya's funeral
The story of what happened to Shaniya Davis has affected thousands of people, including NBA star Shaquille O'Neal, who paid for the slain 5-year-old child's funeral.
"He was very touched by the story, and requested how to get in touch with the family," said a Cleveland Cavaliers spokesperson, who confirmed Wednesday that O'Neal paid for the service.
More than 2,000 people attended Shaniya's funeral at Manna Church on Sunday. She was buried at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery.
Corey Breece, of Rogers and Breece Funeral Home, would not reveal Wednesday the cost of the child's service. However, he said the cost of a child's funeral "averages around $4,500."
Bradley Lockhart, 39, the child's father, could not be reached for comment. A family friend, Vaughn Eason, said the family was out of town for the holidays.-----------------------

Bradley Lockhart and his family had setup a trust fund in memory of Shaniya to help raise money to pay for the funeral.
Eason said last week that any leftover funds earmarked for Shaniya's funeral would go to local charities, groups and agencies that help neglected or abused children.
"Being a law enforcement guy that investigates crimes against children, I wanted to be able to help in some way," Shaq told the Cleveland newspaper.
Shaq completed reserve officer's training when he lived in Los Angeles and Miami, the Cavaliers spokesperson said Wednesday. His last certification was in 2005.
Performing random acts of kindness is nothing new for Shaq.

This answers some questions we have posted...

Agree, at tail end of last thread I asked whether there could have been an actual court order or something prohibiting (post linked below) but no one responded or seemed to know.

if you go to this link http://www.ccsonc.org/data/civil/search.html and put in Davis,a youll see that her housing problems (in Cumberland Co.) started some time ago.
Theres at least 6 different times she was served and probably evicted?
one of the places was not on Wall, it seems like she hung on to the previous Wall house from 4/07 to 1/09.then stayed somewhere? feb, march 09,Then went to wall from 4/09 to 8/09.

Thanks--we've heard such differing accounts of how much time Shaniya had spent w AD (and BL too, for that matter) prior to this five-week stay. We know there were alot of people coming and going out of her short life guess I was just trying to determine how much of *AD's* chaos Shaniya had been exposed to previously.

Who knows...Where was DSS suggesting Shaniya go if they didn't know about Brad or communicate with him. It may have been regarding the 7 year old. Doesn't make logical sense to me.

I am so impressed with Shaq. I wish more celebs would focus on such good deeds rather than spew their political views..which usually make me run away from them if you know what I mean.

I agree; love Shaq for the gesture. In terms of rest, it's obvious.

Shaniya! I hope you are happy and joyful tonight!

I think this is the convergence of shaq's heart for kids, inner city problems, and an off-season career he began in LE--here's an excerpt, just a fraction of his 'resume' from flikster,

"Would like to be a sheriff or Chief of Police when he is done playing…worked for the Los Angeles Police Department and the Miami Beach Police Department during previous off-seasons…attended the Los Angeles County Police Academy while playing for the Lakers…received an Honorary Deputy U.S. Marshal badge on March 3, 2005 in Washington and became the national spokesman for the Safe Surfin’ Foundation, the educational arm of the nationally recognized Internet crimes unit of the Bedford County (Va.) Sheriff’s Office, Operation Blue Ridge Thunder…reported for law enforcement training with the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office in August 2005 and participated with other officers in a rigorous training schedule focusing on patrolling both on land and water and specialized training in advanced cyber investigation…is one of the NBA’s most active players in the community and has his own charitable foundation, The Real Model Foundation…has been a national spokesman for Reading Is Fundamental, Inc. (RIF), a long-standing non-profit organization that has taught millions of people of all ages to read, since April of 1995…through his “Shaq Paq” program he invites underprivileged children from throughout the nation to various professional games…on Thanksgiving he serves food baskets to the homeless at an event entitled “Shaqsgiving”…during the Christmas season “Shaq-a-Claus” brings gifts and spreads cheer to needy children in local hospitals…also makes frequent visits to the terminally ill through the “Make-A-Wish Foundation”…organized a relief effort in September 2005 to help victims of Hurricane Katrina, by collecting essential supplies for displaced families in the Louisiana and Texas areas…in 2000 he pledged $1 million to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America in support of their technology initiatives and as a result in just over two years BGCA has received additional funding and support to open a Shaq Tech Center in each of their clubs through the country..."
