Thanks ..I didn't read that one .. Did you notice my post on previous page about not remembering reading certain statements? did you read those? I guess I must of .. but I think I would remember reading AD worked double shifts.. which I find odd since employer stated she worked part time ???

IIRC, AD told HER MOM that she was working doubles but it was a lie.........
so what was she doing on her other "SHIFT"????

To a part-timer, a double shift equates to an 8 hr. day. That's probably what she meant.

How did you do the reverse search?

That's interesting...I knew AD and BD were there but didn't know about Carl - he would be the step-father.

www.whitepages.com

Look for the 'reverse search' tab. You can do a reverse search by address or phone number. I find it interesting who shares addresses. I also do a reverse search on ancestry.com's public records database. Haven't done much in this case yet.

Police spokeswoman Theresa Chance said the family has a history with the Department of Social Services as far as custody of Shaniya and other children in the house.

Chance said police also have been called to the home before. Officers served a search warrant at the home over the summer and found various illegal drugs inside.

Does this refer to the time they were living in the mh? Does anyone know?

I believe that was during their stay at 119 Wall St.

Cromartie said Davis isn't an unfit mother. She said her niece had worked double shifts for more than a year.

In that same article it states: Davis had worked part-time for Village Green since August, according to a CES executive. CES had done a state background check on Davis before she was employed by the company, the executive said, and her record was clean.

If it helps, I care and I'm a Northerner. Hoping to be a transplant to the South as soon as money permits.
I don't want to live here any more. It's cold and the people are mean.
I hate to hear that people are mean where you are. I have been told (on many occasion) by people that have moved here from the north to GA, that people are much nicer here, and that they appear much happier and friendlier. I guess it depends on if you're on the freeway (LOL!) although now the laws are much more strict and people can be ticketed for gestures (throwing up hands in frustration, flipping people off etc.) I never have flipped anyone off, but I've heard of people being arrested for it.

Just wanted to say a few words on behalf of Shaquille O'Neal. Bless him for providing the means for Beautiful Little Shaniya to be laid to rest! It has been said he did it for the PR and failing marriage. But there were so many more celebrities out the that could have embraced her in her death and given her a proper funeral. Oprah interviewed the Family and has billions of $$. A nice funeral could have been provided by Ms.O! What a better way to bring a country closer than the Obama's making a personal choice to send this little angel up to heaven in style. Shaquille, for no matter what reason, came out from nowhere, to make sure this little baby had the best burial money could provide! Blessings to you Mr. O'Neal. You will be in my prayers!

In the majority of cases, I appreciate when parents are on these shows. They are either advocates for their missing children or, after their death, causes to keep our children safe.

I wonder what Brad's motivation is to continue making appearances. Is he delaying the grieving process and caught up in the media frenzy (he's not the first)? Since the investigation isn't over, many would advise Brad not to make any more statements as they will be scrutinized for inconsistency.

I'm picking up a pattern of someone who, once he makes a decision, isn't likely to listen to the opinion of others.

I hope and it sounds like ADVOCATE to help STOP CHILD TRAFICKING...
It is a topic that is often hidden because it is too harsh and shocking.
In fact most people I know say it is sad and don't want to talk about it.
SO IMHO this kind of ADVOCATE would be of great importance....I hope he will do it. But now sure yet....
Right now it looks like it is a mission to absolve his own guilt in having allowed AD to take her even for one weekend.

I'm sure Shaq is great, but he was just caught cheating and he needs some good pr because his divorce is getting kinda messy...f

When it comes to doing "GOOD" shaq has always been known for doing good deeds.
And he has done them long before he became well known.

Very separate from his divorce/relationship...
I cant take away what is due him just because he is in a divorce that is not my idea of fairness.

  • #192
He's been doing kind works for children for quite some time now. His divorce is within his personal life and has nothing to with the work he has been doing.

Whatever comes out in the press about his "messy" divorce is a cheap shot for ratings and newspaper sales and should not diminish his cause for children. As a matter of fact, I wish it had not even entered into this forum. It's irrelevant.

ITA I just posted something similar.

:waitasec: Maybe the motels where she supposedly lived some of the times may have some idea :waitasec:
I could easily guess that other job did not require for her to be on her feet.

<<SNIP>>
Davis had been living at a house on Wall Street, according to Cromartie, and then lived in
different motels until moving in her with her sister, Barbara Davis, at the Sleepy Hollow
Mobile Home Park.

WOW a little peek into how some of the people in the area where Shaniya lived
at the end of her life are feeling: Sadly not all will be able to make big changes.

Yesterday I went to my kids; A little Thanksgiving story.
17 adults / 8 children for dinner. Interracial family.

A beautiful little girl 5 years of age jumped on my lap
(yes I am a child magnet)..She was with me the entire night.
My grand kids did not even get jealous because they had a sleepover
the night before at my house.

Her parents live about 10 miles from where this horrific Shaniya tragedy has happened.
When they heard the Shaniya went missing - They immediately optioned to move.
They are house shopping in hopes to relocate by end of year.
They did not want this little angel home, not even in school, in that area.
Her Auntie picked her up and she is now in NY until they find a new home far away from that area.
When they learnd that the area is considered a child trafficking red flag zone they were DONE.

I asked my new little angel if she goes to school, and she said...."I go to pre-K at aunt Ree's,
till Mommy and Daddy find a house so I can play outside with other children,
just like I do at Aunt Ree's house"
(Her aunt has a big back yard and all the kids do play there, safely.)
I asked her do you have friends back home? she said yes we cant go outside, only play dates.
when Mommy has time she takes me to the playground.
It was sweet how the child knew that she is loved and taken care of.

I hope this year more children will feel safe and taken care of.

I've read these articles and did you notice they got BD's name wrong; it's Brenda. We could write more accurate articles.

I get enraged everytime I read anything from the Davis clan. Here's an aunt :furious: who acts as if she cares for her niece, but doesn't offer to take her in when she's without a home with children. Motel I believe is a polite way of saying homeless shelter.

This may be OT, but I will say it anyway.

From personal experience with articles written by reporters over the years about my late husband and the work that he used to do--

--Every newspaper article ever written about him has a mistake -- some very minor (date, name, family relationship), others where the reporter either was not listening or added their own slant on what was going on.

-- There is very little fact checking that is going on in the news these days -- in one article, the reporter got the name wrong on a famous Canadian architect who was my husband's cousin. This could have been fact-checked in seconds via the internet.

I am always leery when I read any newspaper or magazine article, or hear any news report on TV-- the standards for reporting are not the same as they were 20 years ago.

Oh Boy you are so right ....It seems NOTHING gets vetted anymore. I also remember in journalism class pounded in our brains ... (graduated HS in 74.. must of been pounded LOL)
Who, What , When, Where and Why nothing else or it was an editorial...just saying.

There are thousands of people who deal drugs...use drugs...and a number of things but have never gotten caught. Just because this woman had a clean record at that time doesn't mean she wasn't into drugs or even dealing them.

Yup, our justice system is far from perfect, and we surely don't catch people the first time they mess up. I know plenty of people that probably should have criminal records, judging from the things I know they have done, but not all of them do. It doesn't make her a saint, it just means she was lucky up until that point.
