I think I might cut the reporters some slack...I understand the need for humor, but I think they should check to make sure the feed isn't going first. It's just more professional.

They obviously don't know that the feed is live. It's the same group of journalists for these things over and over. They all know each other. It's work for them, as inappropriate as it is to kid around in a solemn story. You can hear them talking about who is going to ask which question!
