It was probably a planned thing to do a money scam,for families with a missing child,thousands of dollars are donated.I hope that anyway,and it wasn't a trade for drugs.It would be a greater chance she wouldn't be harmed.

OK, let's say for a moment it is custody related and mom wants to keep her from dad. So who is this McNeil guy and where is he going with Shaniya? How will that help mom ~ like when will she visit her without LE watching, *if* she's still "free" to go anywhere and not in jail herself? Now on the other hand if it's drug related, it has been known to happen where somebody who owes a huge debt will trade off their child. Or maybe this could be a little of both ~ she doesn't want Shaniya and doesn't want the dad to have her either. MOO

I'm thinking maybe mom staged all of this for whatever reason, and that this Mario guy may not even know that he has committed a "kidnapping." Maybe mom called a friend and said that she needed to send the girl to some relative's house using whatever excuse (sewage problems in the home maybe?) and asks a friend would he mind driving her down there. Maybe mom suggests that she doesn't want the girl taken away because of the state of the home. Friend agrees to help out.

Did they say what kind of hotel it was? It looked like at least a decent lower-end hotel from the video (Comfort Inn, Best Western, etc.) I've never been to a hotel that let you check in without a credit card and photo ID.

His record for the speeding ticket suggests that's his real name, or at least an established alias. I can't see anyone going along with this plan as executed if they only have a minor criminal history and nothing involving children, unless they don't know what they're getting into. If he knew, it would be easier to select motels that have a door to the outside. He could check in while leaving the girl in the car unseen.

I think she has been questioned extensively.
And I remember hearing that
they cannot go back to the mobile home,
due to sewage problems.

Mom probably does not want to be questioned by
media or scrutinized by the public.
NG show commented on that mom's story had

I think perp might have another alias...(or i might be crazy---but don't think so)

1. searched perps name on veromi and found potential family / relatives-same last name Mcneill
2. used potential relatives found on veromi and found myspace and facebook page of potential relative
3. potential relative has friend on ms and fb that goes by different name that looks identical (to me anyway) to Mario Andrette Mcneill and same age
4. address matches also found for friend with different name and relative on veromi

this has to be him...will someone else please, please take a look...I know we can't post that info but if it's him maybe he's using a first time alias or something, maybe he changed his name on these sites when he knew he was "hot"...who knows????

I'm rethinking my idea of this guy taking her to protect her (if there was a big fight going on).

There were other children there that would have needed protection too. He wouldn't take just one of them.

In the hotel camera, Shaniya is awake and has her hand on him and doesn't look distressed.
IMO, she knows him like an uncle, trusts him.

Throwing this out there. Is he carrying this child for safety reasons ( no shoes) or is he carrying her so she won't run away. She's obviously awake.

I didn't pick up on a sense of urgency in the presser, other than from dad. I'm wondering if they have tracked Shaniya down and are now trying to catch mom in her lies.
Pretty far fetched I know but I get the feeling they know she's safe and I just don't see how that's possible.

A couple of my classmates and I were discussing the case on FB, we went to highschool with Coe and Davis, no info on the McNeil person but I will keep checking.
