Throwing this out there. Is he carrying this child for safety reasons ( no shoes) or is he carrying her so she won't run away. She's obviously awake.

My first reaction is no shoes.
Whether she is safe with him or not it still turns my stomach to see her half dressed in a man's arms in a strange hotel!

A couple of my classmates and I were discussing the case on FB, we went to highschool with Coe and Davis, no info on the McNeil person but I will keep checking.

Thinking he went to Westlake in Sanford???? Maybe??? Just some info I found online but can't confirm. Know anything about that school?

Westlake is an expensive subdivision in Sanford not a school. The only high school here at the time he was in school would be Lee County Sr. High School. Sanford is chock full of McNeills.

I would love to hear from the hotel clerk. Did Shaniya seem comfortable? Did she appear to trust him? Is this why LE believes her to be safe?
I for one would find it odd that she was not fully clothed and would likely probe for answers, but that's just me, nosy and suspicious.

That was over two days ago, but I'm praying she's still alive and is safe ~and has been dressed properly for the weather. MOO

No he was at EE Smith in Fayetteville , rumor is he dropped out in 96 .The mom graduated or left in 95. It is possible he may have graduated elsewhere because he was accused of infecting a girl at school in 97-98 and the rumor may have made things difficult. Sorry you are talking about McNeil..... I'll check.

I think she probably was very familiar with him. He has a record of drug dealing. BTW from the pictures that was one of the newer hotels in Sanford. We have lots and lots of hotels. I fugured it would be one of the druggie hang out hotels when I saw hotel, but it looks like a nicer one.

Yeah but the hotel ( if I read correctly) is about 45-60 minutes away. I love dogs but geezzz, lol..... He's going into a hotel room, not leaving the trailer. IMO of course and you can say told ya so later. I'm just happy to see has been spotted alive.

I didn't pick up on a sense of urgency in the presser, other than from dad. I'm wondering if they have tracked Shaniya down and are now trying to catch mom in her lies.
Pretty far fetched I know but I get the feeling they know she's safe and I just don't see how that's possible.

I would think that many people would begin talking now...I soooo hope she's safe. Please keep us updated on anything you might hear.

It's only about 30-35 miles from Fayetteville to Sanford down hwy 87N. It's a 4 lane the entire way, it wouldn't have taken 45-60 mins. for him to get here.
