I have more hope about Shaniya being found alive now. Sanford is right near my house...it makes me want to just drive around today looking for her! I'm sure they are long-gone from the Orlando area by now, though. Do we know anything about a car this guy might be driving?

Orlando? They have been spotted in Fl? I hadn't heard this.

miimaa: Also, a lot of info has come to light since that NG show last night. If you haven't watched the press conference yet, you may want to. It kind of shakes up a lot of the original theories we had.
I'm so thankful it looks like she is still alive. When the reports came out about the feces, the blanket, the messed up timeline... I was not very convinced she was still alive.
So, I guess at this point, we just need to pray this Mario guy does the right thing and gets this baby to safety before he is confronted somewhere by LE. That could get really dangerous for Shaniya.

I think justbeachy misunderstood about the Sanford thing.

I'm thinking she has a Sanford near her in Florida and that's why she thought Shaniya was spotting there.

Does anyone here know who was in the home the evening Shaniya went missing? Was it just the mother and Coe? That blond psychologist on Nancy Gracy last night said she thought the mother and Coe could have beaten Shaniya and that's where the feces came from (trauma) and that the mother got Coe to get rid of the body. The consensus was the mother is lying about putting Shaniya on the couch at 5:30.

I am wondering if the plan was to fake a kidnap to get money from the father (although McNeill certainly didn't seem to feel the need to hide her very strongly). Whoever it was that picked Shaniya up first (Coe?) may just have grabbed a blanket from anywhere, not knowing there was feces on it (probably from the sewage backup). The child or the adult could have then realized that blanket was soiled and disposed of it. It's possible that the blanket could have brushed the porch when they were leaving and that's why there is feces there.

The discovery of the feces could have changed the whole public focus from a kidnapping to a possible rape and murder. The ransom idea could then have been dismissed due to the high publicity. Assuming Coe took Shaniya to McNeill, the intense pressure from police and media could quickly have turned what once seemed like a sure way to get money into a much bigger crime and the perpetrators did not know what to do.

A fake kidnap that seemed pretty easy when concocted in the wee hours of the morning under the possible influence of drugs or alchohol suddenly took a life of its own, exposing the stupidity of the plot and the simple-mindedness of its concoctors.

Dad seems like he would have paid to get his child back to safey. Mom must have believed that Shaniya would have been returned to her if the plot remained hidden. This is one way it could have gone down but the only way it would have worked is if Shaniya did not know McNeill very well or at all. If she was sleeping when Coe transferred to McNeill, she might not remember enough to prove Coe's involvement.

Just one more supposition.

AH!!!! I'm glad you cleared that up! Yes, I do have a Sanford near me!! LOL...since everything else happens in Florida (mostly in/around Orlando) I just jumped to that conclusion! DUH!

There is surveillance video of her w/ McNeill. So I am pretty sure that sighting is true.

Profiler on the morning show says mother has questions to answer because of timeline not fitting. He says that terrorizing could have came from Coe threatening Shaniya. Profiler says the mother is the key. He would go over timeline again. Not suggesting she is a suspect but she has timeline confused. Since Shaniya was seen in hotel prior to being reported missing, it's just too tight for the timeline to work.
Profiler says if witness was right that Coe left the park with Shaniya, less than an hour later she's seen with another man..hand off was pretty quick.....gives hope that child is alive. No reason to kill the child. HOpes Mr. McNeil realizes his best thing to do right now is to turn child over.

This info was later described by the neighbor that the noise she heard was that of the noise coming from the trash can area.

This is the first I'm hearing about an argument. All I've heard up until now is that there was a "banging" sound and then she went into a description of where her trash can is located and how the sound was similar to the sound of her trash can lid scraping (getting caught) on her porch because of where the can sits.
