Listening to the dad rips my heart out. Poor man.
But, I do have a question....I wonder where he lives that he had to fly in. I wonder how much contact he has had with Shaniya. I'm in no way saying he is not a good father, just wondering about the situation. Does anybody know what state he lives in???
I also wonder why she does not have his last name. Again, just wondering.

I think he really does love her and is devistated over this.
WHERE IS MOM???? WHERE ARE HER TEARS????
I want to see her.

I believe Mom can be found on MS...Goldsboro NC...Antwanette Davis. She has several accounts...one is public with pics. She is a CNA II. The account was last accessed in 08. At that time her mother had passed away.

A relative connection for Mario McNeill was found on veromi.com
This relative is found on fb...searching fb friends there is a connection between the names Cox, Davis, and McNeill.

Mom Antwanette also has a fb

Just following the bread crumbs and passing the info along...lol

This info was later described by the neighbor that the noise she heard was that of the noise coming from the trash can area.

Yeah, I get that. But what I'm saying is she reporter for the morning show said she said she heard a loud arguement then banging (garbage can)
I don't recall hearing the info on an arguement before this morning.
That's what I'm getting at.

trying to catch up...why did he even go to the hotel??

IMO, waking up from a dead sleep at 3:00 AM, it is hard to understand exactly what she had heard. It is once the police found the blanket that she realized that this was the sound she actually heard. I believe she said something to the fact "hindsight is 20/20".

This is all I could find.

Neighbor, Andrea Moore, told WRAL that police said the blanket found in her garbage belonged to Shaniya.

Moore also said loud noises outside her home woke her up at about 3 a.m. on Tuesday.
“It sounded like somebody was beating,” Moore told WRAL.

I am wondering if the plan was to fake a kidnap to get money from the father (although McNeill certainly didn't seem to feel the need to hide her very strongly). Whoever it was that picked Shaniya up first (Coe?) may just have grabbed a blanket from anywhere, not knowing there was feces on it (probably from the sewage backup). The child or the adult could have then realized that blanket was soiled and disposed of it. It's possible that the blanket could have brushed the porch when they were leaving and that's why there is feces there.

The discovery of the feces could have changed the whole public focus from a kidnapping to a possible rape and murder. The ransom idea could then have been dismissed due to the high publicity. Assuming Coe took Shaniya to McNeill, the intense pressure from police and media could quickly have turned what once seemed like a sure way to get money into a much bigger crime and the perpetrators did not know what to do.

A fake kidnap that seemed pretty easy when concocted in the wee hours of the morning under the possible influence of drugs or alchohol suddenly took a life of its own, exposing the stupidity of the plot and the simple-mindedness of its concoctors.

Dad seems like he would have paid to get his child back to safey. Mom must have believed that Shaniya would have been returned to her if the plot remained hidden. This is one way it could have gone down but the only way it would have worked is if Shaniya did not know McNeill very well or at all. If she was sleeping when Coe transferred to McNeill, she might not remember enough to prove Coe's involvement.

Just one more supposition.

So far, I haven't read or seen anything that makes this theory implausible. Thoughts?

I read and know about all the beating outside references. It came out early on.
I was just wondering about the argument thing. That's all.
I think this could be important info in the case. JMO

After watching the videos I am wondering what is on the back of Mario's jacket? Some insignia of some kind?

Good morning Lorann:

Good point. But with the quality of the photos/video I don't think we could zoom and tell. But it would be nice to know what it is.

Ok, gotta go to work. Will check back later.
Y'all have a good day.

Praying for Shaniya and all who love her.

Ok so it is apparent that Mcneill has some money to sit it out I wonder how much. He has to have some ties somewhere that he can go to. I can only hope he is watching the news and will take her and drop her off somewhere safe or turn himself in with her. At this point he should know that they know who he is.
The man did 4 years in prison and I am sure does not want to go back so where doe that leave Shaniya ? In the photos I looked at at the hotel from what I can see she does not look scared of him, I think there would have been some sort of indication from her that the hotel staff would have noticed.

I am going to call in this morning about the girl I saw while shopping. I have my doubts because of the distance, but anything is possible and a flight from NC to where I am at is only like three to four hours and does not cost to much for a ticket.
I was really hoping she would have been recovered by now and home I was surley suprised to see she is not.

I was so hopeful I would see a "Found Safe" heading on Shaniya's thread this morning! After reading 10 pages to get caught up, I see there are no new developments. I wonder why they haven't released McNeill's car make/model and license plate number.

I know you would think they would have something on camera from the parking lot, maybe not though...I dont know this is so frustrating.

So we have mom putting her on the couch to sleep at 5:30 am tuesday.
At 6:11 am tuesday we have her on video being carried at an elevator. The guy had to check in. wonder how long that took 10-15 minutes maybe?
Then mom reports her missing at 6:50.

I still think Mom knows what is going on.

One other thing Tuesday was 3 days ago. No other sightings of her? Surely he's not carrying her around in a tshirt and underwear. If she is still alive somebody has to have seen her since tuesday.
Hopefully LE was recieved his credit card infomation and is tracking him. You need a credit card (debit card) to rent a hotel room. Sure would be nice if they would release info on the vehicle.

Profiler on the morning show says mother has questions to answer because of timeline not fitting. He says that terrorizing could have came from Coe threatening Shaniya. Profiler says the mother is the key. He would go over timeline again. Not suggesting she is a suspect but she has timeline confused. Since Shaniya was seen in hotel prior to being reported missing, it's just too tight for the timeline to work.
Profiler says if witness was right that Coe left the park with Shaniya, less than an hour later she's seen with another man..hand off was pretty quick.....gives hope that child is alive. No reason to kill the child. HOpes Mr. McNeil realizes his best thing to do right now is to turn child over.

ETA: I typed this really fast, so if you have corrections...please bring them to my attention. I'd hate to post info that was not accurate. TIA

Maybe they didn't reset their clocks, and when she said 5:30, it was really 4:30.

I don't think you have to have a credit card or debit you can just pay cash. You would think he would have went to a store to get her some clothes as well by now. I cant imagine he is still carrying her around in just her Tee still.

If he is afraid to drop her off at a hospital or firehouse, he could put her somewhere safe and call police and give her location. After she is found, she can tell them what happened. If she was not harmed, he may feel safe enough to turn himself in. He's going to get caught sooner or later so he might as well do it NOW.

For them to identify him that quickly Mom knows him ...jmo

http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/6409587/

"A hotel worker called police on Tuesday to report seeing a child matching Shaniya's description, according to Theresa Chance, spokeswoman for the Fayetteville Police Department."

"Police immediately traveled to Sanford, but McNeill had already checked out of the hotel."
