I'm still have Mom involved here as this still appears as a planned "kidnapping". I am keeping in mind that McNeil had Shaniya at the hotel at 6:11 AM and mom didn't report it to the police until (forgot the time) later.

So we know that the photo's at the hotel were taken at 6:11 AM. And the police got the call Tuesday morning from the hotel clerk, and by the time they got to the hotel, MDM and Shaniya were already gone. Things aren't quite adding up for me here though.

1. Where are the photo's/video of MDM and/or Shaniya leaving the hotel? (To me, the pic's look like they are from an elevator area).
2. Wouldn't the hotel find it odd for someone to check in at 6:11 AM. Most hotels check out time's are around 11 AM up to Noon. It would seem a bit strange to me for someone to only check in for a couple hours (especially with a child). Is this hotel just off a highway? That's the only reason I can think of for this to not raise suspicion.
3. Don't most hotels require you to check out, even if you paid in advance? To turn in your key card, etc.? So shouldn't police know when he checked out? Was Shaniya with him? Are they just not releasing this info for some reason? Did someone else check them out? Did the clerk see Shaniya when he checked in or out?

Lots of questions here for me.

Thanks, I just spotted it in the article and deleted my post.

I JUST knew it that Coe wasn't involved.

Yes Patty ;) we know... It goes to show you that looks can be deceiving and teaches a lesson about making any kind of judgment based solely upon appearance. However after last night's presser I couldn't understand why they had not yet released Coe. He is who I think many of us would have pegged for this, while McNeill looked to many to have less of a "thuglike" appearance... however, given their respective criminal records, and more importantly LE's treatment of these individual poi's it threw many of us off. They locked up Coe, charging him w her kidnapping... meanwhile at the presser act like McNeill was some kind of babysitter "w no reason to believe he would harm her." Very confusing to me! And while I feel relief that they have him in custody, I'm still distraught... WHERE IS THIS LITTLE ANGEL SHANIYA ???

:praying:

I'm not very good at sleuthing, but I want so much for her to be alive and taken care of. Maybe they didn't worry about what she was wearing or taking extra clothes because someone was meeting him at the hotel. The re-dressed her and left the hotel undetected. Maybe someone that wanted to take her away from the life she was living with her mother.

I think we all want to think positive about this. But think about it, if he met someone at the hotel, I am sure it wasn't an upstanding, honest, caring citizen or she would be home. I am curious if they have video of him leaving the hotel with her and if she is awake and conscious. Also, he is probably not the brightest bulb in the chandelier otherwise he would have thought about hotel video cameras. So I truly don't think he was doing this in the child's best interest. JMO

I don't think you have to have a credit card or debit you can just pay cash. You would think he would have went to a store to get her some clothes as well by now. I cant imagine he is still carrying her around in just her Tee still.

Yes you do need a credit card. That is to say, I've never heard of a place that will take cash. They don't just charge you for the cost of your room when you check in. They reserve credit on your card for your booked stay plus an additional amount in case you damage the room, or charge room service or overstay. Then when you check out they bill you the actual charges for your stay. If you want to pay cash you can, but you still must provide a credit card on check-in. Then when you leave, they remove the reserved credit on your card and you hand over cash.

I don't know if they will take a debit card for a hotel. I've never tried that. But a debit card would still be linked to your identity, so that wouldn't change anything for these purposes.

I hope to heck this little girl was not taken because of a drug debt, If he admitted to taking her what the hell else is he saying ?

Please, please, please find her safe!

It sounds like a less than June and Ward Cleaver household that little angel lives in. I know this is probably going to get me laughed out of here but for whatever reason, I think she is safe, and what's more, unmolested by McNeil. I have a very "hair on the back of my neck" feeling that it will be discovered that in her own home was where she was unsafe and that her removal was for her own safety.

I know, totally against all odds. And yet, I hope.

So do we know if Mario and Coe know each other?

Just listened to latest presser, and can NOT understand how they could have mistaken Coe for McNeill or the reason Coe was arrested in the first place...

I travel a lot (too much actually). Hotels will take cash if you put down additional deposit money to cover incidentals, etc except for your more upscale hotels. What hotel was this?? I don't recall seeing that. I doubt that it would be a Grand Hyatt or Marriott. In those cases they would require identification and a credit card.

We do alot of traveling some places we use credit cards sometimes we pay cash. When we pay cash wich is often they do not require us to use a card just take down my DL # and plates.

Does anyone know Mario's relation to the household/parties involved? He has a criminal background yes, but I haven't seen anything in his record indicating violence against women children specifically. But perhaps I missed it. My point is - even thugs have children, families, loved ones, etc. Even thugs can have hearts. I want so badly to believe he has some personal connection to this child and that she is safe somewhere.

Do we know for a fact that Mcneill actually "checked in" IIRC, the clerk spotted him with shaniya and called the police, the LE could have gotten the 6:11am off the cameras, which would mean he could have already had the room from the night before, met/took the child and someone else is in the hotel room waiting and that person took her out. Do we know if he came in on his own or if he was brought in?

I have paid cash at every hotel I have ever stayed in...and I've stayed in a lot. Never been asked for a credit card, which is good because I don't have any.

Even in light of the new info, McNeill's arrest, Coe's release...I still think she's alive and I think she is unharmed. And I still think this is going to get even weirder.

I have used a debit card for a hotel many times. HOWEVER, I have been denied a room at a hotel when, as a victim of dometic abuse, I showed up in the early morning hours with cash only and no credit card. I was not able to leave with one. With two children and no place to go, I could not get a room until the light of day.

I can understand why we did that, he does have a record of kidnapping and abuse.
