I hope they get all they can from him before court, as we all know from Coe, the judge is gonna tell him 687860658095 times, not to speak with anyone but his Lawyer.

So Justin Sheppard has been found...thank you Lord.

The police must know more than they are saying. If there is film of her going into an elevator in the hotel, wouldn't they have film of her coming off at some point if she wasn't found in the hotel?

Even if she were passed off to someone else and with someone else?

If this is the case, why wouldn't they release those pictures as well? They say they don't know where she is but maybe they have her and are setting a trap for additional kidnappers?

I don't think she did so bad. She says at the end there will be information forthcoming as soon as they are able to release it. That sounds promising. I think they know where Shaniya is and maybe they are in the process of recovering her right now? I certainly hope so!

Salem

I think you might be right. There isn't a sense of urgency about her.

Is the AA still active?
If it is, it means they don't have her. I think there are laws against leaving it active if the kid has been recovered.

I agree. They have been WAY ahead of us, but just not releasing info until they're ready. When most of us still thought this little girl was dead they already had at least two suspects.

...and personally, I think it's silly to be picking at the spokesperson. It's trivial.

This is the one from earlier and I believe in this video she mentions the 11:30 AM press conference. Although I could be totally wrong altogether.

I just watched this Patty and you are absolutely right! She does say there will be more at 11:30. I'm hoping they are going to tell us they have Shaniya.

On another thought - I have only seen one video with the dad. For all of you that have been following closely - what is the general consenus on the dad? Does he look like a stand up fellow that will take good care of his daughter?

Bumping up myself and bolded me, the spokespersons mentions 11:30 but it appears not so much as a news conference but the Sheriff speaking "perhaps" to the media. Again, I could be wrong in my interpretation.

I saw her father at last nights presser...men don't cry as hard and for as long as he has unless they are completely emotionally destroyed.
He would take care of her, IMO. I think this was a major wakeup call for dad, and he is just praying that his little girl comes home so he can fix any mistakes he may have made, like not being there enough or letting problems with her mother get in the way.

It's hard to say from a couple of minutes of footage on Dad if he would be a good caretaker, but I have no doubt he loves his Daughter. You could see he was distraught, and look at how fast he flew into town when he found out she was missing.

I have the presser video almost memorized now

When I was watching it earlier to figure out what was bugging me, I was watching to see just how much the spokesperson is smiling. It seemed not much.

I just watched twice more. She actually only smiles twice. Once at the very beginning when she fumbles her words, then again when the wind blows her hair in her face. They are small, quick smiles.

The second time I watched, I put two fingers on my screen over her eyes. It's more apparent that way that she's not smiling, but actually pressing her lips together in a very serious/nervous way. It's the shape of her lips combined with her eyebrows being a bit too high that gives her the appearance of being so jovial at first look.

Covering her eyes and eyebrows and watching her mouth specifically makes her look very sober and somewhat nervous to me. I was actually surprised by this. I thought she was inappropriately jolly at first.

(bbm) As for myself I agree and find no genuine fault I was only teasing, to alleviate a stressful moment that's all... I only meant I wish we knew more.

I think Im just frustrated that Shaniya has been kidnapped, and not many details are coming in. You're right, picking on the spokesperson solves nothing, and she probably is nervous. I am too. Seems like they must be closing in and dont want to alert the person that McNeill gave her to, there must be cameras in the hotel parking lot, so maybe we'll know more soon. I just wish they would have put forth more of an effort to let folks know this morning on their way to work to look for this or that type of vehicle, or for Shaniya, or something. The weather here is gorgeous today, highs in the upper 60s and tomorrow in the 70's..

Throwing this out there.Mcneill may not know where the child is. He may have been paying off a drug debt himself and had a job to do, did it, handed child over to someone else and thats that! I'm thinking that he did know who he handed the child off too and thats who the police are looking for. They may not tell media so as to not tip that person off that Mcneill talked. Someone mentioned Coes car being stolen, if that were the case, wouldn't that be apart of the Amber Alert? IMO

I didn't hear "for now" - I heard "right now" if I'm listening to the same part of the presser as you...reporter asks are the charges against Coe being dropped & she answers "yes, right now they are". I took that as they are being dropped as we speak.

Maybe you're referring to a different part of the presser tho!

Thanks Walk :)

You are correct! I went back and listened again. Sorry it took me so long to respond, I was on lunch.

Although, IMO, "right now" feels the same to me as "for now". I'm still thinking Coe might get SOME kind of charges down the road. JMO.

It can be frustrating, but in this case I feel better knowing that LE is waaaay ahead of us.

It's 48f here fairly warm for this time of year, for us). Time to book a vacation!

So Mom puts Shaniya on the couch and 5:30 and within minutes McNeill just so happens to be in the neighborhood and just so happens to break in this mobile home and takes her and no one realized it.

I don't think so!!
