Silvia Cuevas had just returned from her mid-shift break at McDonald’s on U.S. 1 in Aberdeen... The 28-year-old woman was greeted in the restaurant's parking lot by a coworker, Angel Garcia Martinez. They stood and chatted beneath a full moon.

Omar Ocampo Figueroa watched them through the windshield of his black Dodge Daytona...

The two men began shoving each other. Authorities say Figueroa then retrieved a knife from his car. He allegedly cut Martinez multiple times before turning his attention to his ex-girlfriend.

Cuevas was stabbed once. The single-edged blade, described as being the length of a steak knife in the autopsy report, penetrated her heart...

Figueroa and Cuevas both emigrated from Mexico as teenagers... “I think he fled the country to start with, but he could very well be back here now with how much time has passed," Colasacco said. “The biggest challenge is that he’s not a local person, so he’s got so many places that he could go and hide."

I feel so bad he caught her off guard at work, like the predator he is. Hopefully her family can get justice one day that someone speaks up. I doubt he hasn't confessed it in a heated rage to a new girlfriend or something.
