Man Missing, Last Seen On Beech Mountain: Police

The Beech Mountain Police Department is asking for assistance in searching for a missing man.

Police said Porter was last seen on Monday, March 20 between 4:30 and 5:00 on Beech Mountain. He is considered missing and endangered.

North Carolina's Highway Patrol's Aviation Unit assisted in searching for Sky Porter today. link above.
I must have missed something but I didn't see why he is considered endangered. I will read through again before bed....hoping he is found safe by then.

I did read about him using the aliases earlier. I wonder if that has anything to do with him going missing?

His FB says he lives in Banner Elk. Same general area of NC mountains (Boone, etc)

I have searched for FB pages using the aliases, and can't find anything. Maybe someone else can give it a try. I also think it's strange that the page I found is new and with so few friends. And, LisaWL7TR, I did find that post concerning. Also, random thoughts:

- I know the area fairly well. The words "On Beech Mountain" sound like he was last seen on the ski slopes or at least at the ski resort. I think that's why there's a mention of using helicopters to search. According to Beech Mountain's website, the last day of the season was to have been yesterday. It's been kinda warm, so I'm not 100% sure if they were actually still open on the 20th.

- This article says that he was last seen around 5pm Monday "on Beech Mountain," and police put out a notice on Thursday. I wonder who reported him missing... It's awful quiet.

"**UPDATE TO MISSING PERSON**
Sky Porter was found this morning at about 8:15 am by a bystander who saw him in a parking area and recognized him from the news media and flyers. The bystander called 911 and Mr. Porter is now receiving medical attention." (BBM)
