Next court appearance for Jodi and Joe is still scheduled for January 13, 2025. Hopeful that at long last, there will soon be some progress here, legally speaking at least.

Unfortunate news coming from what was supposed to be a scheduled court appearance today for the Wilsons -- another continuance/extension has occurred, this time until Monday, June 2, 2025. I have no idea why these continuances keep happening, but I can only speculate that it might have to do with one or both of their legal representation changing yet again... beyond frustrating, whatever the reason may be.

I very much appreciate you following this one through the pretrial stuff. It always takes longer, gets pushed off and rescheduled. It always feels like forever.

Not sure if there's been some sort of update to the NC Judicial website, but I was able to find from public records that the attorney being retained by Jodi Wilson is Ken Tisdale Jr., while the lawyer retained by Joseph Wilson is James Darren Byers.

August 31, 2026 -- the next tentative date for Jodi and Joseph Wilson's next Disposition Hearing. It appears that as of a few weeks ago, or potentially as early as July, their disposition hearing scheduled for today had been rescheduled for next August. Unlike previous continuations, I do not yet see that a motion to continue was filed in this instance, so I'm not sure for the reason for the postponement this time around. Whatever the reason may be, I feel for those waiting for justice to be served, or at least for there to be some progress made.

Just to add my own personal opinion on the state of this case currently -- I have a real hard time believing Jodi and Joseph sincerely believe in their own innocence, if they ever had that belief to begin with (I recall that in Joe's 911 call, Jodi could be heard saying, "It's my fault," in the background). I would think someone with the thought process or "knowledge" that they've been wrongly charged though would be eager to have their next hearing and not want to be sitting around in prison, with continuation after continuation. It's just speculation on my part, but I don't see that urgency from them. To that, I would say to them, I hope you both find yourselves "comfortable" wearing prison fatigues for a long time to come.
