"Unintentional?" prosecutor says about head injury to #teghanskiba. "Oh my God." With that, he ends closing arguments.

minus a nipple and probably unable to have children. what an animal...

And one Dr. said probably blind from head trauma & either trouble walking or unable to do so -- motor functions would probably be adversely affected.

No wonder the dentist prayed that she would die. OMG, so severe as to make a doctor wish that -- pray that -- now that really puts it where it is. It's just too much to bear.

I guess ABC11 decided things were over? I don't have a live feed any more from them.

They almost always cut out early -- it's for their 4:00pm live broadcast, I'm thinking. Kelly O'Hara reported first -- about the trial of course.

Wow -- It's on WAB? Terrific -- if so, it IS going outside this county/state.

Izzat correct, CUCKOOHEAD, my bud, izzit on WAB???

It was featured on DailyMail about 2 weeks ago, and had several hundred comments. Also it's been on the justice4caylee.org site. If he gets DP, I bet there will be more news on it. What sickens me is to think that these types of cases happen frequently enough that they don't make national news... I think of the ones that have happened just here in the last few years...Shaniya Davis, Cheyenne Yarley, Teghan Skiba, and Zahra Baker. It makes me sick to my stomach. These stories need national attention... we as a country need to start being more accountable, keeping an eye out for any and every clue. It's very easy to pretend it doesn't exist when you don't see or hear about it. I know it makes for sad news, but I really think the only way people are going to start doing something about it, keeping an open eye, etc. is to KNOW these stories. I've heard so many people in the last 2 weeks, right here, say they had never heard about this case! Right in their backyards!!!! So I do hope this case gets much more attention.

On the stream of WTVD is that her on the monitor at the hospital? :(

I believe it was.

Whomever the lady is that sits beside the judge had a piece of paper taped over her monitor. :(

  • #486
earlier they were showing glimpses of jury.....

Neck down only when I saw them -- and just a few of them.

  • #487
Either she was unconscious or he held her down for him to be able to do that. Evil freak.

I pray unconscious. Lorry what that baby went thru

Neck down only when I saw them -- and just a few of them.

They did show a dark haired woman next to jurybox and whomever was sitting next to the neck down person in purple. She had short pixieish grey hair

  • #489
the sound of that whip smacking. can't get it out of my head.

Yes, Chelly -- that THWACK!! was very effective -- the jurors were prolly about 3-4 feet away from that.

Dear God, Please let this case be the worst we will ever see, and the worst that will ever be. Amen.

I've seen many cases here at WS. This is by far, one of the most heinous, disturbing, horrible, disgusting, evil crimes I think I have ever seen. :twocents:

:(

Yes, by far, Softail.

I think this long & harsh descriptive narrative had to be delivered -- at least to wipe out any & every last or lingering doubt. This 2nd chair ADA drew the short straw. But I think it did have to be done. <smh>

Unable to watch today but just speed-read this entire thread. I just don't know what to say. So many victims besides sweet Teghan in this case. I hope the medical personnel, the jury, the attorneys, the reporters, Teghan's poor family...I hope they can someday recover.

Does anyone else feel like they are physically choking on their own anger and despair right now?

I'm glad so many are here to bear witness for Teghan. Thank you guys. :grouphug:

I need to go have a good cry.

It was the 2nd chair prosecutor, not a defense attorney.

Effective. And necessary, IMO.

Glad to hear, Crazytown, that it is on the national radar. And we, as citizens and lovers of justice for everyone, including the least or littlest of these, should do whatever little or big things we can to bring it to the front pages of all media, everywhere, all the time.

The closing by defense sounds more like something you would hear in the penalty phase, not now. They must be resigned to the verdict.

That space is usually occupied by the clerk -- the one who swears in the witnesses and who keeps up with the evidence -- making sure the exhibit numbers are in order, etc., when they are offered by the PT or DT, and creating/keeping/recording the evidence inventory -- big job. I would think she had to look at every piece as they were offered. Bless her.

That's essentially, IMO, FLmom, what they are doing -- trying to keep that worthless breather of our good air off of Death Row.

Assuming the verdict is G of M1, then we'll go immediately into the penalty phase -- now, how many witnesses will be piled-up and waiting to say something on behalf of the defendant?

Mitigators? Any?

Aggravators? How many?

Getting ahead, I know, but I've got to have some good thoughts after today.
