High Point woman stabbed to death in Archdale

Tina Mae Rook, 36, of High Point, was stabbed around 2:50 p.m. in the area of Prospect Road and Thompson Road.
Rook was found in the front yard of a home with a stab wound to the abdomen, Randolph County deputies said. She was pronounced dead at High Point Regional Hospital.
Around 2:10 p.m., some 40 minutes before the stabbing, Rook was seen getting into a white truck in the area of Clinton Street and Ridgeway Road in High Point, deputies said. The truck then drove away.

ASHEBORO The Randolph County Sheriffs Office has opened a cold case in the death of a High Point woman in 2012 in Archdale.
Randolph County Crime Stoppers has also increased the original $1,000 reward to $3,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for her death.
Tina Mae Rook, 36, was stabbed by an unknown assailant in the gravel parking lot of Axiom America on Thompson Street in Archdale on Oct. 13, 2012.
Det. Sgt. Robert Chabot said detectives need the publics assistance in generating new leads in this case. They would like to talk with anyone who has any information that could be helpful in the investigation or anyone who has heard anything or remembers seeing anything out of the ordinary around that date. Anonymous calls can be made to Crime Stoppers at (336) 672-7463 and callers are eligible to receive the reward.
